Half knowledge is always dangerous

A genius often reflects in his personality. In an interview recently, A R Rahman acknowledged Ismail Durbar's musical talent as being mature and one of the best he has seen. That was a genius speaking.

And now here we have Mr Ismail Durbar, who is belittling himself by talking such things about a great maestro, revered by people throughout the world.

Luck stays with those who deserve it the most.

I believe.. even if U compare with UR folk music which was there in HDDCS which was more of copied but I feel that whenever U do something never let down others coz they are much better than the one you are.

Hi!!!

This is Abhijit from USA.......

Ismail Darbar is no doubt one of the best music directors , bollywood has ever produced. He and AR Rahman cannot be compared because both of them are amazing in their field. Its like comparing who is better: Sachin Tendulkar or Sunil Gavaskar....

But i hope that both the geniuses continue to give the industry more great music in the future as they have been doing in the past.......

'My work's better than Rahman's'

Mr. Darbar

Kudos to you for sticking your neck out and making a statement that you believe in. You have to reliaze though that this is not usually done is professional life due to, lets say, professional courtesy and hence people are going to be mad at you as you can see from the comments so far.

Since you have said this, and since you dont have much history in music making for movies, now you have to prove yourself to others by producing great songs for a long period of time. I personally am not a big fan of Rahman, as I believe he is just a good music director and not a great one, but he has longevity and thats important in anyone's career.

So all the best to you, and only time will tell whether over the long term if your statement holds true in the public eye, even though i personally love your creations more so than Rahman's.

Sri
