a great list
by Roshith on Jun 07, 2005 04:48 PM

hi ,

We really appreciate you Mr.Bhaskaran, for listing the great Indian movies ever.Refering to Subhash Ghai\'s list ,it was so pathetic to see his listing. He was only mentioning Hindi fils, that too a film which can\'t impress the a real film lover. It is understood that he doesn\'t know much about the industry ,i specificalyy would like to mention \" Fil Industry\",not bollywood. He can rate his best fils in which those movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hei,Hm apke hey kon, thal.

So Mr.Bhaskaran has done a real listing

cheers
Roshith

At last, a truly Indian list!!

For a change, there is someone out there who brings to fore a pan-Indian list. Unlike the Bollywood masala people, whose frame of reference is limited only to Mumbai films (Taal, Mr. Ghai!!??), T. Bhaskaran has chosen movies from all over India, with different themes and filmmakers, with constructive nuggets and info on the respective films. I, for one, am glad that India does not mean Mumbai or Delhi only.

Kudos, Mr TB.

hi,

It was a great comment.Bolliwood people are so much limited in their own hindi circle. They don't watch other movies feeling that they are the real Indian.
It was so pathetic to see Ghai's listing.Very pathetic.Where does his films stand in the real good movie. As you said the masala movies

Well said, Mr. Bhaskaran!

Comparing Indian Cinema to a non-existing term "European Cinema" is brilliant!! I totally agree with Mr. Bhaskaran. As India is vast, with its multicultural, multilingual diversions.. We must talk in terms of Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Hindi Cinemas as we talk of French, German, Italian Cinemas in Europe. I think the top 10 "Indian Cinema" must include the very best from all these Indian Regional Cinemas and it really requires a genius with very deep knowledge of all these regional cinemas for decades. Mr. Bhaskaran, to my view, has done a fair job and produced a fine list though of course, we are going to have a billion views from a billion Indians on this list.
