Mr.Ghai..this is India, can you tell me how many Hindi movies of these days even get nominated for awards these days..Fils like kuch kuch hota hain..is nothin but utter crap.
take your time to watch Bengali, Malayalam and tamil movies..u'll realise where u stand.
I think the list by Ghai and Shah talks a lot about the the Hindi Film industry. It totally lacks originality and good story telling skills. All the stories, even ones made by banners like Yash Raj and Karan Johar are heavily borrowed from the west. This list just reflects just reflects there narrrow mindset towards cinema.
Taal, KKHH, HAHK ru kidding me????? Ghai has made only dumb dud for the past few years-Trimoorti, Yaadein, Kisna and I think its time he retires into oblivion.....
Oi!, what about DDLJ? I can't believe they skipped this movie!
And yes, regional films have not been paid attention to at all. But i guess thats coz it was TIME magazine that came up with the list, and they probably thought India = Hindi.
That's right! I bet each and everyone of our billion Indians will have a different version of this top 10 best of our movies. But, Mr. Shah's version does, in every aspect, look much better than Mr. Ghai's list. I wasn't surprised to notice the humble Mr. Ghai's inability to NOT to include at least one of his own movies in the list (Taal). I'm sure he would also have yarned to include 'Kisna' too, but then thought people would then decide he's finally gone mad, so thought better of it!
hi, why do people list only Hindi movies as "india's best 10". if they are not aware of ohther language movies, they shd. refrain from listing or atleast it should be changed to best hindi movies rather than listing all hindi movies as if other language films do not matter.

How would he?if he gives credit to original south story ,can he copy from it?Look at david dawan he copies from B grade south movies which do so well in north
I am kind of surprised to see just hindi movies in that list. Doesnt Ghai watch movies in any other language. I cant believe that he chose not to include any tamil or malayalam movies which have probably been the best for past couple of decades. Just shows your narrow-mindedness Mr Ghai.
sholay reflects movie taking & action where as lagaan reflects what actually happend earlier and inject patriotism some extent. LAGAAN is better in my view
