what is this ? are these awards meant to recognize and honor greatest works in cinema or to do social justice among film fraternity ? Selection criteria disclosed by the jury head sound like ticket distribution criteria for some political party..! disgusting!
it's very surprising to see saif ali khan winning a national award for humtum.no doubt saif is a very good actor but his performance in humtum was not that superb.it's quite funny to see that for humtum he got national award whereas he was not even nominated for best actor category in filmfare awards and few other awards.but it's good to see that he has progressed as an actor a lot.good luck to him for future.
I like Saif very much. He did really good job in Humn Tum. However, this time Shahrookh deserved it more for Swades. He acted very different than his normal roles.
All the jury members are B or C grade in their respective fields. they will never able to work with A grade actors like Shah rukh and Aishwaraiya , so they end up selecting B grade actors.thats another way of showing their frustrations on their under achievements by not giving awards to real super stars and actors. rememeber how Prakash Jha always end up giving awards to Ajay devgan, as he knows he will never get a chance to work with Shahrukh Khan. National awards is always a saga of politics and under achievers.
Who is Said Ali Khan really? Why do Indian films, Indian awards and Indian audiences accept mediocrity and award mediocre performances? The national awards should probably be renamed as bollywood awards because really it doesn't seem to care for the spectrum of films that come out from our country.
