Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav - A must see
by krishna Pillai on Jan 29, 2005 05:25 AM

Just saw Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav with my family. It is a Rib Tickling Comedy which you should not miss.

The slick editing and cinematography is just brilliant.

To sum up the film is much better and lighter than some of the heavy stuff that I've seen in a long time.

A must see!!

no sense of humour
by Pankaj on Jan 29, 2005 02:23 AM

ronjita, this itself is a funny sound (this name i mean)how do you define humour and a comedy. it is clear that you are living with a mental block, and expect the whole world to accept your views.
sorry, but it is a good movie, dont restrict yourself and watch a movie with a open mind, and dont carry your tensions to the movie.

Also I would like to point out that lately, Mahesh manjrekar has been adopting foreign film plots for his new films namely rakht ( completely based on " The Gift"- kate blanchett ), PLPY (" A fish called wanda"- jamie lee curtis). I wonder where is the originality gone??????

Fully Agree
by Gaurav Kumar Kedia on Jan 28, 2005 10:40 PM

Well said Mr. Ronjita Kulkarni. I too agree with your points. I
too dont Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar's idea. I am working as a
scientific co-worker in Germany and people over here like to
watch Indian movies like anything. But I guess as soon as the
movies like "Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav" will be
screening in theatre then no one would keep his/her desire to
watch Indian movies.

Perhaps its the time to rethink about the subject and never
forget to emphasis the real heros like our hon. president,
soldiers etc to figure out instead of politicians like Laloo.

Ronjita you better stop giving reviews. I was there in the premiere and there were many viewers threefolds more than the number you mentioned. May be Three is your favorite number.

I know the reason to make such films
by Nitin virmalwar on Jan 28, 2005 06:14 PM

Yes, I know the reason to make such films. :)
Such movies are made to convert black money into white. Make a big budget flop movie, loose some black money and claim that movie was profitable, pay tax on the profit and black money is now white. Make the movie in co-production so that lot of ppl can be benefited in a single venture..
I hope my logic is appreciated :))
Ha ha...
Cheers!
Nitin

I second it !!
by Ann on Jan 28, 2005 06:04 PM

Its as if "two minds think alike". If i had to give a review, it would be exactly the same as this letter. The movie is pathetic and title is even more!!!

Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar, please stop making movies and is possible restrict your acting as well. If these are going to be the kind of movie we make, then God help the Indian Cinema.
