penalty for kissing by meera
by s.i.zabiulla on Mar 03, 2005 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

Kissing is not a horm. That to this is a scene in the film. the director should be questioned before imposing the penalty on an innocent artist. after all she is working in the acting for livelyhood.

Hello,

What a thought.. u came here to earn money as many people getting attract to Bollywood.. not only from meera's country..
Kissing on the screen can not make a friendship between two countries... can not stop terriosim

So its just publicity for making movie hit.. thats it.. as always there is discussion about mahesh bhat movie..

forget censorboard!
by d.v.r.suresh on Mar 02, 2005 08:53 PM  | Hide replies

i think its waste of time to disscuss about censorship, coz nowadays we can see softporn on small screeen itself.who cares about it if it happens in films?today we can see atleast one such scene in every film we watch.new actresses are stooping to such a level that, they are getting ready to do anything on screen for money.

there is no meaning of censorboard,if atall there is one,its sleeping.

Under the name of advancement film industry is bringing sickness to the society.ex is not necessry always show openly on screen. Somebody is saying these r intellctals who are brining it.If u see the family values in these intellectuals from industry who are promoting sex the dont have basic family life. They are sick peoples who are giving their disease to public .

Censor? whats that?
by Jawahar on Feb 25, 2005 07:23 AM  | Hide replies

to be honest, looking at the current state of indian movies, i doubt if there is even a such a thing called the "censor board" in india.

the line is growing thinner between indian movies and adult movies. soon we'll start getting ratings on movies - "Viewer discretion advised. Not advised for family viewing"!

and this much change only in year or two! at this rate what i said above isn't far.

and by the way, i'm not saying "be as strict pakistan's censor" - i'm just saying - "have a little shame and dignity".

sir, do you think a ifld is a pot of khichdi or a plate of masala mudi that it has to be made for every one's taste? the term family movies is so ridiculous and archaic- it only brings to mind movies based to dead beliefs, prejudices and ideals such as pati parameshwar.
modern indian cinema is thankfully getting away from that.movies are becoming more realistic and sensible.so if you are worried abt your kids switchon cartoon network, animax etc.why should directors have to bear the burden of the practice of everybody wanting to watch the same movie.in a mature film culture- there wil lbe adult movies, children's movies and soem universal movies- and eall will flourish individually

Kissing
by G Mookerjee on Feb 25, 2005 07:07 AM

Kissing is not acting. It is hardly an acting trait or a directorial skill. It need not be a part of the film.Sad to see that the Director of the film make a fool of himself.

paki warning to meera
by sameer ali on Feb 25, 2005 03:13 AM  | Hide replies

this is more than ridiculous.. that the paki actress meera has been ridiculed coz of kissing a hindu ..the paki mentality remains the same whether in gulf or USA here ..they always have this anti-india stand .. although they will always like indian actress doing the vulgar item .. one guesses if Bal thakrey and his hindu antics are not wrong at times when they condemn the paki low standards .. let meera do her job .. and india let grant her fanily a citizenship... she will definitely have a better future here ...for tham matter most of the paki gals ..

What is the big deal if Pakistani actress, Meera, kissed the actor in "Nazar"? If Pakistani authorities feel that kissing is against their culture, then with due respect to them I would like to suggest that they should ban screening films with kissing scenes in Pakistan, whether the film is of Pakistani or foreign origin. I have talked to Pakistanis and learned that compared to what Indian top filmstars earn, the earnings of their Pakistani counterparts is peanuts. Naturally, in this era of "Glasnost", Pakistani filmstars would like to not only act in Indian films, but probably make India their home and permanent base for their career sake and leading a happy and comfortable life.

hey man, just a few clarifications for you:-
1. "ridiculed becoz she kissed a hindu"- thats just what meera thinks it is. we don't know the truth.
2. previous pakistani actresses didn't do vulgar scenes on screen in india - hence they didn't get fined like meera.
3. outside south asia, pakistanis and indians are almost brothers. if you're saying that they're mentality is like that, well guess what-they were indians too.
4. I can't believe you called kissing "a job"!
5. and on the side, watch out for calling people "pakis". it means more than "pakistanis". USA got into trouble once for that.

send these ''item girls'' back home

India did a good job by sending Nigar Khan (though for some other reasons). Those girls just come to corrupt our country. Pakistan government has lived upto its image by atleast raising voice against "actresses" like meera.

I hope rediff doesnt give undue publicity and hype to actresses like her.

hey
take it easy it's not a big deal to kiss somebody.
nobody is corrupting our country.nigar khan came here to have a better future. so is meera doing that
so cool down and let people do what they wanna do.
as far as pakistanis are concerened i think they should not receive any help from india because they don't deserve it. and it would be better if u guys don't give too much attention or publicity to meera.
