by haseena khan on Jun 06, 2006 02:56 PM

give the girl a break. it is just a kiss. since when are actors concerned with religion. in pk movies they were miniskirt and reveal their body and that is not allowed in islam. making movie is not allowed in islam and i am sure in a lot other religion. don't make this one more thing about pak and ind. they already have enough problems. just one advice for meera. hire somone to coach on how to handle the press.

Rah
Meera is stupid.
by Rah on Jun 16, 2005 01:14 AM

Wow... does anyone realize how incredibly stupid this woman is? Obviously she doesn't know how to talk to the press. "I am a positive girl, I don't like talking about negative things" Then why is she answering controversial questions, and creating more contoversy? The Pakistani government has put bans on kissing because they do not aprove of it in any religous or ethical way. So she had to have known that she would create a fuss by kissing Ashmit. Also people in Pakistan hate Meera, Saima, and all those other girls. They don't give a damn about them. I don't live in Pakistan, but I've met some of their actors on my trip to Pakistan, no one cared to even talk to them. The only respected actors work in dramas. So Meera if people talking about you hurts you now, it was just as bad when you were in Pakistan so shut up.

this is ridiculous
by outsider on Jun 03, 2005 09:36 PM

I am REALLY embarrassed that the government even feels the need to comment on things like this in a country suffering from far more pressing issues like, oh, I don't know, violence, poverty, sectarianism, terrorism, suppression of women, child abuse, disease . . .

Meera's kiss
by Abid on May 25, 2005 03:53 AM

What happened to giving women a freedom of choice. I thought we were living in 21st century. There are women in the military, running marathons, landing on the surface of the moon, and we are condemning an actress for meeting the requirements of her role. I bet if it was a male Pakistani actor in a Hindi film doing a scene or two in his swimming trunks, we would all go BRAVO. Let's not forget that before being a Muslim from Pakistan, she is a human being with a right to choose what's right for her and what's not, just like the people, who disagree with her choice, have the right not to go watch the movie. In the mean time, let's not ruin it for the people who do like her for what she has done, is doing, and wants to do in the future.

Stop this rubbish all u people
by Realistic on May 22, 2005 07:06 AM

Ha Ha
These messages are so touching. Let me give one. Miss Meera forget culture and forget Islam ( which i am sure you have forgotten) does your "inside human" allow you to do such a thing. Indians have their laws and restrictions and instead of keeping yourself away you have thrown yourself in the garbage. And if your inside permits you " then there is a person who can be called low levelled. You say you have faced a lot of controversies but i must say you rose , Miss Ambassador, magnificently to the occassion saying this is not something new. This will be forgotten very soon as you have just opened up a new street. But someone will never forget it and he will be the one to forget you. Ofcourse he is the forgiver.God bless you
