Finally goalkeeper Negi gets some semblance of pride back. He conceeded 7 goals to the Pakis and was labeled a Paki agent and all that. Thankfully, the movie producers have ackonwledged that the movie is based on Negi hockey life.
I loved the movie ... it was very simple depicting the daily living of people living in hill stations (their language, attitude, mannerisms are beautifully shown)... Once the story begins you dont want it to stop ... it is very well picturised ... i enjoyed it throughly ... it is the sheer magic of a simple story well directed and served to you without any frills!!!

No, the date is right. It is being released in theatres now, but the movie is pretty old. The reviewer must have seen it at a festival/screening

you are perfectly correct...check the web page you will see http://in.rediff.com/movies/2005/dec/08blue.htm
I am in full agreement with others that this review is not written by Raja Sen. Infact, two days ago on Formula 1 chat, I had mentioned exactly the same thing. The review (and the chat) were done by someone who is really sane and balanced, which Raja Sen is not(based on previous reviews and F1 chats)

Sumeet, The release of every movie, has become a test to Raja Sen; There is more entertainment in his review than the movie; Barrons and Norman Lewis has become his dinner for Thursday nights.

I agree Omkara was nice but Maqbool is far better than Omkara. Best performances ever. Maqbool's Babaji is so much intense and startling than Langada Tyagi.
