Even though there were so many excellent action flicks in tamil in the past, the best action movies are the ones that make you watch them again and again tirelessly. In that respect, I would rate the following three movies for their stunning and breath taking action:-
1. Baasha ( after all Rajni was at his menacing best in this) 2. Kuridi Punal ( First Indian movie made with DTS sound) 3. Kaaka Kaaka - the police ( My all time Favourite one)
If it is acshun...i can recollect just 1 movie now.. This movie starred Arjun and Anand Babu.A blot in the 'Action King''s action career,the movie I believe got patrons for the sheer gravity of the stunts.One fight sequence between Arjun & Anand Babu has something like 35.8 somersaults a minute,with the intermittent time being utilised to get up from the ground and gain stability to hit back. It even has class acts where the policeman's kid gets an ice-cream on the way back from school,which eventually leads to the impairment of his visual abilty. Yes,this turned out to be a comedy. Ironically,it looks like this blot was the turning point in Arjun's career.And about Anand Babu,the less said the better!
Now,when it comes to serious Indian action-hmmm....I have to think.
Oh come on,in my limited movie database,I have not seen any out-and-out action film. But GARDISH deserves a mention.Starring Jackie Shroff,this moving flick has a really huge run-chase and fight sequence shot at Dharavi.The scenes were gory,but they brought out Jackie's emotions.
Off late the best action flick to come of bollywood is no doubt "KHAKEE"..it had excellent script,good acting , nice camerawork and the most importantbeing "the storyline was believable", unlike other so called action flicks like Dus,hero..etc
Forget about action movies. If you see in most of the movies Female dancers are hired from foreign countries. They are asked to do all kind of dance steps and actions. Our Indian counterparts are no match. They have already occupied our market via (BPO ). Very soon we Indian film goers will have names off all foreign actress on their finger tips. Fact is they are fit in shape, dynamic, confident, and fit in any bikini.
So Indian ladies gear up, or our Talabanised culture would take all your jobs.
