what barsaat?
by apurva on Aug 25, 2005 12:54 PM

Barsaat doesn't live upto the title, it is forced barsaat.

Storyline is old wine in new bottle loosely told. No daam in acting except for priyanka she is good. As for bobby and bipasha they are ok. Bipasha looks sick in her new slim avtaar, her new avtaar is against her hot sexy image. Suneel darshan story line idea is stale. I hope he offers good cinema in dosti.

As for Bobby Deol bad luck. good luck next time

Some copy!

Well, it sound like reverse-version of SWEET HOME ALABAMA. With Bobby Deol playing the role that Reese Weetherspoon played. What do you say?

Barsaat 1995 & Barsaat 2005
by Mukesh Mane on Aug 22, 2005 06:24 PM

At least 1995 Barsaat was somewhat watchable for Rajkumar Santoshi's pacy direction. On the one hand we have superbly directed compact 1.30 hour thriller 'My wife's Murder' and on the other hand this Over-Filmy Barsaat. Forget the story, Suneel Darshan could not even think of novel sequences. I mean there are films with old stories but extremely novel treatments and are hit - like DUS. Why was Dus hit, not because of story, but because of Style.

Mr. Darshan, come out of Indian culture (we have had enough of it from Johars and Chopras), and think out of the box.

Mukesh.
