At least 1995 Barsaat was somewhat watchable for Rajkumar Santoshi's pacy direction. On the one hand we have superbly directed compact 1.30 hour thriller 'My wife's Murder' and on the other hand this Over-Filmy Barsaat. Forget the story, Suneel Darshan could not even think of novel sequences. I mean there are films with old stories but extremely novel treatments and are hit - like DUS. Why was Dus hit, not because of story, but because of Style.
Mr. Darshan, come out of Indian culture (we have had enough of it from Johars and Chopras), and think out of the box.
coz seriously tell u the truth...through all these so called moive reviews rediff reviewers humilate the deols and abuse their fans.....you guys seriously need either to changer ur views/taste or ur profession..... take a piece of advice: stop wasting ur hard earned money on the deols films coz u don't get ur time pass there. It will help!
Why is it that most if not all your reviewers from communist dominated states of West Bengal or Kerala and a few sosegaad thrown in for flavour from Goa.
And why is it that most of your reviewers take a holier than thou attitude tuning every review to the tastes and needs of US born/bred/migrated desis who don't give a damn about these movies anyway.
Dont get me wrong I know most movies you review are crappy but all the same use some amount of local sensibilities when castigating these movies and dont always look like this review is going to to get you that drool worth job at NYT or Washington Post etc.
We already had a lot of rain inMumbai which disrupted the city and went waste to the sea. Now there is no need for afilmi barsat also. the film is poor and useless. Priyanka wake up and Bobby continues his flop run along with basu. No way any one should go and spend money.Sorry to say but that is how it is.
This movie was ridiculous. Barring Bipsy Baby, all others were so lacklustre & it was a tedious exercise to endure for 3 hours. It should have been called BORESAAT. Bobby affirms yet again that he is as useless in the 2005 version as he was in the 1995 version. As for Priyanka, well atleast her make up was not that chalky this time. Suniel Darshan needs to take a reality check & retire from filmmaking. All in all this flick is only reccomended for your worst enemies.
Must tell u that it almost feels as if u were held at gunpoint to say something positive abt the film. from the look of it the story seems so bad, that its amazing that ppl not only think of such inane scripts and situations but even have the conviction to ahead with them....Any how I must say its a good review, becoz even if it has 2 of the 2 hottest babes performing, this is one rain that I am gonna avoid like the bubonic plague. 1 request though, next time come to the pt directy, if a film sucks, say it sucks.
