Is Rudrangshu Mukherjee accidental writer!!
by Santosh on Aug 18, 2005 02:17 AM

Some of we Indians have habbit to be influenced by what British wrote about us. I think Mr Rudrangshu is such writer!
I have few question for the writer!!
1.Dont you think that situation makes hero or zero? who rises is hero.
2.Even Gandhji did rise to occassion and let us to fight against British, will you call that accidental.

It is important who stood against British, least important under what circumstances he did, please correct yourself, otherwise the so called writer-skill is not for your benefit.

Mangal Pandey True hero
by Hemant Mishra on Aug 18, 2005 12:04 AM

Now it is much said that he did all under intoxication, As said he was under influence of Bhang , while bhang known as vijaya in sanatan holy books " vijayam kapirdino vishalyo vanava ut"...Yajurveda . It is known as Gyan Vallabhi ideal for meditation is considered to produce constructive results rather then destuctive results as seen in liquor etc. Even if he has taken then also it cannot induce a person to go hostile ,he would have been submissive in his behaviour wich is quite contrary to what was talked about.
True hero does not need anybody's certificate ,he did what he could do in his personal capacity without waiting for any organisation to act upon.Although he did said what was in his heart not in his mind.

Mangal pandey was a real hero
by Gaurav kumar bawri on Aug 17, 2005 11:36 PM

we just can not make any conclusion against Mangal pandey from british documents of that time , as it is obvious that they going to show his wrong image ie his action was under influnce of 'Bang'. Because he was our hero and that's why they courmartial him.
It's really sad that our countryman writing book from those irrelevent documents, which only going to talk against our Brave Mangal Pandey.

talent of aamir
by KUMAR on Aug 17, 2005 08:20 PM

Aamir is "AMAR".No one can take the place of aamir in the bollywood.he is best among the best. aamir comes with a film at every 2-3 years of gap.but the film makes a great success which is not done with shahrukh nor salman, i think aamir must be titled as the king of khans not shahrukh because he is only involved in romantic film wher as aamir is capable of doing all kind of roles...........

amir khan is the only versetile actor in the present generation of bollywood. the most talented actor can perform any sort of role according to need of the director.although he is producing him self once in 2-3 years but still he is better than shahrukh khan bcoz SRK can not play a role of police officer or a farmer instead amir have performed both the rols brilliantly in SARFAROSH & LAGAAN.

A Hero - Without Doubt...
by rajeev venkat on Aug 16, 2005 03:34 PM

i really find it strange that someone has the nerve to use the term 'accidental hero' for Mangal Pandey. he was a hero beyond doubt. i guess its pure publicity seeking effort to use such terms which deride a great sacrifice.

assuming, Mangal Pandey had actually consumed Bhang, which soldier has fought a war & faced the blood & gory in his senses. why is the consumption of alcohol so high in the armed forces all over the world. does that mean all the wars & the associated tales of bravery are only to be attributed to the influence of alcohol. the author must be nuts to even suggest this.

mangal pandey had the guts to take on the British, very well aware of the futility & outcome. he could have chosen the path of non-confrontation like many others & on a later day written a book like the author but he chose to be different since he dared!

the trigger may have been the perceived assault on his religious sensibilities but then the cause was certainly bigger.

we must salute the hero rather than waste time talking & discussing about meaningless issues with the author is trying to rake in purely for some cheap & easy publicity.
