KBC has its place as a numero uno of its kind. My suggestion for the organizers is, instead of using Phone / SMS that would clog our already used up infrastructure, a web based screening based on say, 10 questions with authentication of the contestant through his declared identification by say Pass port no, Voter ID no or PAN no with usual contact details like phone / mobile no, e-mail ID, etc and this would enable many like me to throw the towel into the programme as the contestant. To be honest, the telephone / SMS route is combersome.
I think KBC was a great show,Recently when I saw the Wardrobe designed by the fashion designer on star news for Amitabh at KBC I was astounded by the amount of leather used in all the clothes, nearly all clothes were made of leather, even the hot seat I believe is of leather, India being a country of animal lovers I think it is not fit to have so much of leather on India's most watched show, moreover Daimler chrysler I believe made a new versioned car for India without leather seats because Indians are animal lovers and do not like leather especially when made from cow skin or skin from killed cattle.
Wih 15 crore people vying for 1500 seats originally put up on offer for KBC2, the probability of any one getting thru to the "Round of 10" is understandably remote.
The heights KBC & KBC2 have achieved do generate a heartburn for all those who miss out. It may be wild request to the KBC bosses to look into avenues of increasing the chances of more people getting into the programme.
