Over exposed Amithab
by T.P.Veeraraghavan on Apr 21, 2005 07:52 AM

Yes Amithab is over exposed. He has become so cheap to come all commodities for advertisement.

He should retire from acting and give way to actors like Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher and other middle aged actors.

He is becoming like Lata Mangeshkar. No doubt she was a melodious singer of yester years Her voice is jarring

True and awful !

There's no denying that AB has talent that many would die for.But the fact that the man is crazy about media and publicity,so much so,that he would endorse products even new-comers might hesitate to do,makes me hate him so much.It is surprising how in the western world people with the greatest talents are rather reserved when making acting choices, while our so-called"greatest actor of all times"is busy acting in movies from A to Z,some of which are a total piece of crap. The man needs to know he is not getting any younger! No offense, but the truth is if you truly want to be remembered u better choose roles that go with your age & personality. Those so-many army officers, police guy roles that AB has done were so not the right thing for him. With all due respect "Sir, no army or police guy in India 65 years of age, runs around fighting and u wanna know why,coz that is when NORMAL PEOPLE GET RETIRED".There is a reason why Baghban was a hit while Khakee & Deewar were disasters. However what surprises me is despite his rich heredity and strong education(which a few in the industry can boast of)he fails to see his own limitations & flaws, and not recognize his bad decision making instincts.

Like Amitabh Himself Said
by Chandan on Apr 21, 2005 06:36 AM

Yes he is over exposed. I saw one of his interview where he said what "accessbility has to do with exclusivity" but I think he wasn't right. He is and can be very exclusive due to what he his. However, as he is being more accessible, the exclusivity factor lessens. It's right that he has dues over him but again he is a very exclusive personality and should try to maintain it by very thoughtful steps.

having watched almost every movie of the Biggest Baadsaah of "Hindi Film Industry"(as he likes calling it )i can say only 1 thing we can never have enough of amitabh bachchan and no one is like him...even at the age of 62 he "RULES".and while pointing him on the fact that he is doing 2 many ads..then whats bad in that?after having debts in crores and crores of rupees it takes a man like him to payback all the dues...
i salute him, he is a not only the best actor but one of the best human being in this country......

Is Amitabh Over-exposed?

Once the man itself was asked the same Q & his answer was "at this age I don't mind over exposure as there is no fear of career on stake".

Yes! You bet - From a fan who never missed 1st day 1st show
by sudip majumder on Apr 21, 2005 03:01 AM

Well

I do not like Amitabh of these days as much as it pains me to see him in every movies. I saw several time Black - well I just thought if Nasiruddin would have been in his place; there would have been a blast - though I personally don't care about Oscar; but 'Black' would have own Oscar. His very benatone voice is now becoming detrimental to his work; and his selection of role ; that needs more maturity and thoughts. he would always remain my all time great hero (bombay to Goa, Abhiman, Sholay Insdrajit, Akhri rasta Sarabbi on wards) but his films with goaty beards and the role he plays just driving me nuts; he can play good character role like Sanjeev Kumar (good guy) or a comedian role like Robert De nero ; It's a tret to see Amitabh doing a comic and funny role; but nobody exploited that ...

may b yes but he cant help it
by chakri on Apr 21, 2005 02:36 AM

The biggest star of indian cinema, who gained popularity (when there was no cable TV, now even a tv anchor is popular around the world, bcoz of sattelite TV), is reduced to ground level, financially, after his business failed. he had no choice but to act in insignificant movies. yes he is over exposed but he had no choice. now that he is out of debts, he should start being choosy. that will give us a chance to see more moivies like BLACK.

Amitabh is truely a karmayogi. To remain in such limelight for more than three decades and at present still popularity at Zenith is ultra extra ordinary.

Not even legendary Raj Kapoor can match popularity and adulation, which Amitabh enjoys in every segment of Indian society. There is simply no word beyond legend.
