What is Indian identity, can you define it?Who has given you the licence to decide and comment on Indian identity?Indian is recognised and respected in the world because of its acceptance of pluralistic democratic values. The adoption and inculcation of such values only have made India a haven of relative peace in the present day world which is full of strife and struggle.

One thing that is clear from this discussion-Other communities especially Hindus Know nothing about Muslim culture/customs , but even then they will give their "expert advice" each time. If you dont know something & dont even want to know, then keep your mouth shut. Instead try to work on "your problems"- Sati, dowry, female infanticide etc. Before calling Muslims backward see the condition of Hindu society ! Most of Hindus lack a uniform cultural identity so they take pride in copying western lifestyle which they see as "progressive". Nudism seems to be the ultimate test for progressiveness, go ahead & embrace it.
*** Instead of being apologetic about their customs Muslims should assert their religious identity. No one needs a certificate of "Indianness " or "modernity" from Hindus or any one else. They can think what they want - who Cares ??? ***

No, dear friend, we are not progressing backwards...its a wrong perception,,,,Purdah is a tradition followed by Muslims all over the world, whether they are in India or in France, in US of America...or anywhere in the world....Do u feel if a Hindu puts a "Tilak" on his forehead, he is going backwards and not forward......If a "Tilak" doesnt differentiate a Hindu from being an Indian, I feel a Purdah will also then not make any difference..what do u say friend
What a horrible name. And to top it the Chopras are keeping the movie under wraps. To tell u very frankly I dont think anybody would be really interested in knowing the story of such a movie. We have had enough of these Indo-Pak stuff. Give us a break yaar.

It is always a nice experience to watch films of yash chopra. He fills all the body wiyth romantic air. He has given shape to word "Beauty" I love his failures also like Silsila and Lamhe . I could feel the soul in the movies . Hope to find veerzaara equally good. Love you yash Uncle.
