Coolll down....

It's just a movie and depicts about putting your thoughts in to reality. For example, as Varma quoted, we , in our lives , at some stage or the other get a feeling of killing some one bcoz of the trouble they are causing....but we only think of such things to happen...we never really do it...in this movie the hero turns his thoughts in to reality...am sure there might be some hubbies who are fed up of their wives complains...and so on....be practical folks..common wake up....

Just another publicity gimmick
by Gautam on Sep 04, 2004 01:58 PM

How on earth are the following conclusions drawn?
1) People read subtitles and are inspired by it.
"the sub-title on posters of the movie gave wrong signals and was in the nature of inciting atrocities against women"
2)A question is as good as a "fatma"
"Would you feel good if your wife was dead?"
3)Are family ties so weak that films damage it?Whose families are they talking about?
"The petitioners claimed the film was doing damage to families and women in particular."
Families plagued by domestic violence will only substitue reasons for their action so targeting some flop movie is not the answer anyway.

The POW is giving the movie undue publicity.

Maybe it is time the press did some investigative journalism about the tie up film makers have with "progressive" and political organizations and whether the publicity is done on a charitable basis or there are unwritten kickbacks there.

Regards!

its ridiculous

I wonder what censor board is doing in AP. They would have allowed the total scenario to come upto this stage. I felt very bad when firt saw the title. During one of his interviews, Ram gopal varma supporting his subtitle and story line told he got this idea in his engineering second year. According to him, every husband has a wish to kill his wife or how it would be if his wife dies in some corner of their mind. ITS PATHETIC TO LISTEN THESE TYPE OF STATEMENTS from one of the India's best directors.

Think on your own.
by Venkat on Sep 04, 2004 01:43 PM

I don't know how mature we are if we cannot realise that it's a film.

If you don't like the damn film, don't watch it. Don't waste time protesting, burning effigies or smthing like that.

A man who want to murder his wife will find ways, irrespective of whether the movie came out or not! It's definetly not going to be a deterrent. (i dunno if the movie is abt that, i havent seen it. and i don't trust any organisation)

So, think on your own, and if the movie is too gruesome for you, don't watch it!

Ban such movies outrightly!
by sahana joshi on Sep 04, 2004 01:34 PM

Wont these producers and directors get any thing else other than violence depicting films? Violence increases in society if such films are promoted. Ban such movies outrightly!

Madhyanam Hatya - Film named
by Jayashree on Sep 04, 2004 11:59 AM

Hi! Readers, I Think the title is ok but its the fact that males get some ideas and are encouraged to do what all is shown in moves. Mens dont take it as a movie they watch at all those shown and act crazy & mental, for which women are in problem. Will the sensor or the film maker be responsible for all these? or will they takecare of all the females on earth facing problems? the answer is no one will step forward so why disturbing others peaceful life?
