Madan mohan's soul touching tunes are great without those songs it is very difficult to get good sleep. my request i want list of all 104 movies composed by Madan Mohan
madan mohan was the great. i could not explain him. he was a king of ghazal and he was such a excellent creative composer above all was a perfectionist i never forget him. if people want to learn about perfection they should follow him. there is no formula about perfections. its all about feelings.
Alas, If only an artist so perfectionist like Madan Mohan lived as long as some others in the Music industry like Lata @ Asha. I sorely miss the Late Madan Mohan. His music from the song from film Ada "Preetam Meri Duniya Mein Do Din to Rahey Hotey" is incomparable. It always makes me drift into my past and always has the same appeal. I am searching for the film Ada to see the whole movie setting ad situation for the song. Please help. Thank you, Ashraf Moghal Yunani Physician Charleston, West Virginia, USA (304) 744-9798
Dinesh Raheja & rediff.com have been bringing us scintillating stuff about Hindi films & their music for a long time. Thank you for that, guys. And keep up the good work!
This year, Rajesh Roshan completes 30 years (yes, 30 years!!) in Hindi film music. That's like 3 eras. Of all the composers who were active in the golden age of the '70s, Rajesh is the last man standing. The fact that his tunes of today are as fresh as those of his early days says everything about his talent.
Please bring out a special feature on Rajesh Roshan immediately. By nature, Rajesh Roshan is a low-profile person. By bringing out a special feature, we will be thanking him for making our lives better. Plus, it'll remind millions of people of the person behind songs like Pardesiya, Jaisa Des Vaisa Bhes, Ka Karoon Sajni, Oh Mungna, Kya Mausam Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam Tara Rum Pum Pum, etc.
A good read. Each of Dinesh Raheja's columns is a delight! Keep it up, Dinesh.
Often, the list of famous movies or songs of the person profiled is very short, with many notable omissions. Please enhance our reading pleasure by lengthening the list a bit. I know space is a constraint, but you could include at least a few more items. The point is to sqeeze is as much of the person's brilinat work as possible.
Apart from the songs mentioned here, my favourites of Madan Mohan are: 1) Kabhi na kabhi from Sharabi 2) Mayi ri, mai kaise kahoon from Dastak 3) Husn haazir hai from Laila Majnu 4) Simti si sharmayi si from Parwana
I had been fascinated with some songs , since chidhood (woh bhooli daastaan , main toh tum sang nain... mera saaya... naina barse n very specially jo humne daastaan apni sunaai..aap kyon roye..) (I am 18 now) and so when I read (inside the audio cassette cover ..) that all of them had Madan Mohan as common i instantly became his fan... .Surely he must have ben a guy close to mother Nature.. is what I feel .And then the other day (Lata's b'day) when I was surfing the net and I read Snjeev Kohli's note and how unfair those people of the past had been to Madan.. I came back home and cried while listening to woh kaun thi... Surely Madan shall live on.. surely more than those scoundrels!
Its pleasure to read Dinesh Raheja again on rediff.com he writes poteically . he has beautifully crafted this article on madan Mohan and used every song at right place to cite example. Perhaps Madan Mohan has created beautiful song with Rafee and Lata both. the gazal ran aur noor kee barat , is gem from rafee.
Thanks Dinesh and rediff for such nice article. Hope dinesh give more such articles.
