''Dev'' - a must see for the BJP high command
by Sunil D. Yande on Jun 22, 2004 10:21 PM

Several of the relevant issues in present-day India like "nationalism", "communalism", "secularism" and "terrorism" are tackled head-on in Dev, for the first time. If BJP cannot "pin-point" the reason for its defeat in the recent elections, watching Dev may give its leaders some "food-for-thought and introspection".

The situation tackled in Dev is not unique to India; it is equally applicable to the USA and its handling of terrorism - or for that matter relevant to every country in trying to deal with minorities and their disenchantment with the government.

Yuva!

Yuva of course! Mani Ratnam is one of the few directors in the current Indian Film industry whose name is synonymous with intelligent film making. Originality, technical brilliance, character potrayal and hard hitting story would hopefully blend to perfection in making Yuva worth seeing again and again!
