I think Aishwarya is the right choice for Amrapali ,Madhuri looks a matured lady .Probably Akshay Khanna or Milind Soman would do justice to Ajaatshatru. Akshay Kumar is no doubt, one of the worst actors.
If Amrapali is to be remade today - Sanjay Banshali is the right guy to direct this venture - Aishwarya the best candidate to play the role of the beautiful and elegent Amrapali. As per the role of Ajatshatru, Sharukh is the only guy who play the role of tyrannous and obsessive Ajatshatru. Even Vivek Oberoi can be tried.
Do we need to show a cook in Amrapali ? Akshay Kumar my god is one the worst actors on the planet..He is better off doing bawarchi business...What a horrible choice on the part of columnist..No doubt article is very refreshing and excellent..
I would respectfully disagree with the suggestion. I would think, only Sridevi can do justice. As per male, there isn't much talent out there. Ajay Devgun has the Sunil Dutt look and I think he is a better actor than Sunil dutt.... so there you go. Ajay Devguna and Sridevi.

Er... No I dont think so!! This is the trouble with us, if we make a particular film on any one genre everyone follows suit. SL Bhansali may have made Devdas but there wasnt anything novel about it (without discrediting his efforts).
We need to be expanding our horizons not remaking films of the past. Would anyone consider remaking Sholay?? No I didn't think so!!
Since SLB and Ash had a patch up, this moive would create history if the pair is slated. Ash has the beauty, charm and charisma. No doubt Madhuri is good. But she is ageing. No offence meant to her fans. But she would be suitable for a more meaty, and matured role.

Hema Malini is good, but people wont accept her as a youthful actress. Moreover Amitabh Bhachan would have fitted the bill with a strong change in looks but any female pair..?Rekha? Jaya, Pradha??Tanuja????

How about Hema Malini ? With Amitabh perhaps ? She did not look old in Baghban . Come to think of it she looked more youthful than a few of the current youngsters
Hi, As per the choice of Amrapali, MAdhuri is Ok but not in current shape and form. For Ajatshatru Akshay Kumar will be horrible may be Ajay Devgan is better
