yea right ' grow up' people. Live and Let Live...how can u say its degrading for our culture? wat culture are u talkin abt? the pub culture thats widely prevalent in India these days? do u know at happenns in discs and pubs across the cities in India. Its totally unfair to blame the west when the fact is that gays an lesbians were very much a part of the so called Indian culture as early as the time of the ancient kings. Chk the Kajuraho temple statues for references on the subject. and come one gays are not castaways or aliens...very much like u or me they jus tend to have different sexual preferences. I agree tho that the film Girlfriend shouldve been handled with more maturity and sensitivity. Wat am against is the bashing of gays which is stupid...wat abt wife swappers/ ppl takin part in orgies living amongst us? none of u have any probs with tat? or maybe its ok as long as its with 5 men instead of women. Double standards ..wat else can i say!

Great to read your msg, I suppose this movie, though a trash has given a lot of space and opportunity to people like you and me to throw lessons on these nerds on lesbianism.
i dont like this film at all. it is a bad and so bad film to see. my friend said that this film is to like a throw in a dustbin . i request to the bord please dont make like this film.
its gr8 to have one more brainless story in bollywood,i think both amrita and isha are absolutely free , that's why they have accepted this movie. it would have been better if they would have done an item song in the movie. i m not against the concept i am against the story n choice of characters. the concept of lebianism is very common in our daily scenario as we can see this fact everyday around us,i think the choice was wrong, i think some good directors should come up and should direct a movie on this topic so that people can understand what the hell is this?
For all the people that condemn this film because of its bold, confronting topic need to seriously reconsider there point of view on life. You do realise that homosexuality is abundant, even in India and especially in other places around the world. It's true, it is not "normal" especially from a heterosexuals point of view but it happens. You people need to stop living in the past and accept the fact that even people in India are hiding their sexual prefence in fear of aggression that would undoubtedly harm them. The rest of the world has grown up, why can't you? Homosexuality isnt a new thing by any means and it isnt a purely Western influence, it dates back to hundreds if not thousands of years. Your brutality on the subject makes me feel sick. Something to think about.

This movie is a crap movie. Not because it has a "bold" theme.But because it has been dealt with so badly. I'm pretty sure that any gay/lesbian watching this movie will hate it more than any "straight" person because it everything shown in this movie: a. is completely removed from the truth. b. has no iota of sense in it.
