BOLLYWOOD RULES
by Jitesh on Jun 19, 2004 12:16 PM

Listen Sukanya, i know that people for their salaries will do anything. but you at least not write anything bad about bollywood. do something else that is necessary. Have u seen a hollywood movie or you just talk about it after hearing from others. I am sure if u watch one movie you will stop criticizing bollywood. Hollywood is stupid they show some DUMB things but you don't watch that.

about yuva

Ajay devgan was a complete misfit. For one, all of his colleagues either look like they are in school and you have this guy who clearly looks in his early to mid-30s. second shahrukh looked believable in kuch kuch hota hai..however terrible he is as an actor, he still looked as a college dude.

Great article! AGreed about Ajay and Madhuri especially....I love the movie Sangeet! Sadly Madhuri's brilliant double-role performance went unnoticed, but she wins awards for playing a barbie in Dil To Pagal Hai! Sad! Anyways, that's off-topic, but completely agreed with this article! :)

Yuva was awesome
by dixit patel on Jun 07, 2004 07:37 PM

One of the best movie I had seen. Its a brilliant movie with a social message and a complete entertainer. Very well excuted portrayel of 3 different character, abhishek, ajay and vivek. Very insipirating.
Yuva is the best. All the character in the movie, including director Mani Ratnam did an excellent job. Its far better than movies like MHN. I agree with the author of this article that in the end of MHN, the character and tone of Raghwan was changed all of a sudden. for the first two hours i felt he was right and then I don't know what happen and script suddenly changed and his character was changed to villianous, which he was actually not. "operation milap"-nonsense idea. Not that easy. we all want peace, but in the manner of what was depicted in the movie. Pakistan was shown very generous and our troops and army man were villian, hahahhahaha. Stupid director and story writer. light entertainment was good in movie, but message was not right.
On the contrary, Yuva had right message of youth of how to direct ourselves by portraying differnet character like Lallan, Michael and Arjun.
ACtreesses were good too. Make more of this movie. (Dixit Patel, TX,USA).

hey, this movie was fantastic yet it is beng critisized like anything. why does a mani ratnam movie get bad reviews everytime he makes a hindi movie, is it because of the insecurity that south will take over bollywood?.

Grow up Bollywood

What about Hollywood?

The article is correct to its punctuations. Women do not last so long in bollywood. They cannot play a college student after around 35.

But the critics also should also consider the stupidity that exists in the part of what Bollywood is the clone of - the Hollywood.

Earthquakes, aliens, terrorism only strikes them as if there is nobody else that lives on the globe. And they are invincible. As if the rest are enunchs.

Another thing, what about the majority of people who like oldies to play any role. "Kal ho na ho" & etc. have been super duper hits. "Lal badshah" was a super hit in UP-Bihar belt.

Yuva is a high point in junior big b's career.i strongly feel that he has got a role fitting his requirement s and u can c that in his performance, a brilliant one. anyone who has seen the movie will not disagree with me.as for ajay devgan he potrays a very
collective yet stubborn character and we can say he is upto the mark.this movie is defintely a winner in any circumstance .of course its mani ratnam movie

I totally agree with your article. SRK has been playing a college student for at least the last 10yrs. I haven't seen Yuva yet so I can't comment on Ajay. But why do our actresses have a "shelf-life"? No married actress has been successful except for a handful, hence they opt to quit acting. And someone mentioned that Anil Kapoor aged well, I DO NOT agree with this at all! Even though he does look a little better than his co-stars of the same age, he does not look good with the new actresses. While his actress co-stars are starting their own families, Anil is romancing women half his age (some are even closer to his daughter's age)!
