Unforgettable Rafi

Yes, Rafi was my all time favourite because of his versatility in singing especially with high pitch without distortation in voice & great vibrations.

Rafi: The unique voice

The true measure of any singer\'s quality is: how good he/she sounds when singing in total silence, with no music or noise to cover the rough edges. A singer of Mohd Rafi\'s calibre would breeze through this acid test, while many other singers of today would be simply unbearable.

Spellbinding songs like \"Saathi na koi manzil\" (Bombay ka Babu), \"Bichhde sabhi bari bari\" (Kagaz ke Phool) and \"Main yeh soch kar uske dar se uttha tha\" (Haqeeqat) are brilliant examples of melodies sung in almost utter silence, with bare minimum music for support.
