This is one of the good article i have read so far. But the point where I disagree with , is that entry of Aamir Khan is QSQT is not so sound. Its okay but not to be put in one of some noted lists. Whereas, i should say those ones of SRK's heroic entries i MOHABBATEIN, KAL HO NA HO (Where he comes as as some "farishta" to Priety Zinta's family), or his entry in DIL TO PAGAL HAI were much heroic and charming. Here I also want to point out he entry of Rajesh Khanna , as a rainy wind, adding a surprise, zing to the rest of the film, in ANAND.
Amitabh riding a horse, the setting sun behind him...all you see first is a horse galloping towards you...amazing entrance..saw the movie TWICE..but left after this scene on the second trip. Thanks for reminding :)
like one guy wrote in, jackie shroff's entry in 42-love story takes the cake as far as impact of entries go...not just for the stunning visual quality of teh scene but also for the dramatic impact it has on teh story n the viewer...the rest of the entries in our movies just wanna make it a platform for the so called stars...they all suck....like our heroes n films..
I think there are only 2 major actors who have left a great impression on their entrance scenes many times. The 2 superstars of Bollywood. Of course, AB is no.1 in that. His earlier films as angry youngs man had amazing entrance scenes. After him, it is of course the current superstar SRK whose entrance screen are always outstanding. Remember DDLJ ? KKHH ? K3G ? Or the recent KHNH ? and many more. His entrance are just top class.

Hey yeh true...... I like Srk as a star as a person off screen..have always been for Srk..and hes the onli person to fil Big B shoes.. Srk in K3g was awesome..defi ..tho a bit mushy........when it goes to ;eh maa tum ....'..... and ddlj -shah rukh bursting into a youthful run with a ball and runnin abreast with the plane!! Amitabh is dfei god ..he doesnt need dramatic entries.. But Srk has always come close...... Hrithik was top notch in knph...but it bcame a bit cliched in the movies that followed....
tho Lakshya wasnt a money spinner it was a bravura performance frm Jr Roshan.. cheers
Nobody can beat BIG B as far as "The First Appearance" goes. To name a few: In Coolie, when he jumps onto the train roof with his bird 'Allahrakha'; when he appears each time in his black attire in Shahanshah; like you said, in Toofan his intro was scintillating though the movie was opposite; motorcyle intro in MKS; Still remember Agneepath, when he suddenly grows up while chatting with the DSP or SP Vikram Gokhale. Though there wasnt any coin throwing or cheering but that pin drop silence can never be forgotten and then in Aaj ka Arjun, when he jumps off a roof with a dupatta to save a girl. So AB is the man when it comes to mind blowing appearance. I also liked Sunny Deol's appearance in Damini, very calm but very effective.
