Rediff's movie critic seems to be suffering from an inherent bias against Abhishek Bachchan, for I have yet to read a rediff review which credits the actor. While I am no die-hard Abhishek fan, I think it is uneccesary to pan him for whatever he does.
Is it just a co-incidence that the ONLY thing rediff found acceptable about Zameen was the 'tight screenplay'- which has been credited to a former rediff staffer.
Ratings *** Zameen has all masalas to make it a above average grosser in Metros and high collections in Smaller centres and interiors. The Audience definitely supports Abhishek Bacchan as a actor and hope this movie will add some charisma to him as a actor.Ajay Devgan has established himself as the choice of masses as well as classes. The same thing he proves yet again with this movie. If You are looking for a movie which has somewhat nonsense which has become a part of the bollywood movie since ages "GO FOR IT."But if You are a typical YO-Man type of guy I am sure You will start disturbing other audience by your references to other hollywood movies,so better go for other english movies in town.Movie has bit of emotion,Patriotism ya yet again, and good action sequences.story is the same of a typical army Movie.Item number by amrita arora doesnt impress anyone and felts completely ignorable.Music just 1 song is good.Bipasha has very limited role and looks like she has signed movie to help Abhishek in his career. So Go whats U waiting for.Deepak Motwani
what the hell is this!!!! Every time the viewer at rediff talks crap. Does the viewer here is more experienced and skilled than Indiafm's Taran Adarsh? With each review of the movie, rediff loses its visitor and reader for this column and now today onward me too, dont want to go through rediff viewer. Whats wrong with u all? I saw the movie today, and to my surprise the movie is so beautiful narrated and picturised, even it is so carefully and effortly srcipted, i never thought. The actors performed very well, Devgan's performance growing with each of his movies. But here, the much talkative is the Junior Bachchan, he delivered very gr8 performance that cant be un-noticed. This time he is surely a winner, ......thumbs up ABHISHEK. Congratulations to the Director and all crew members. ....And Good bye to Review @ rediff. And i suggest u, it would be better to go and watch the movie as well as ask people before giving any review.
I am not sure if this is gonna be posted or not.. Lemme quote a couple of reviews that I have read thus far... Indiafm: "Abhishek Bachchan is extremely efficient, conveying various emotions, mainly pathos, through his eyes. He is remarkable all through. Cast in a role that has the angry-young-man shades, the actor gives his best shot and comes up with a winning performance."
Sify: "Abhishek's fans, who have been sorely disappointed by the absence of action sequences in his last few releases, will see the actor at his best as far as action is concerned. Be it the chase sequences or the climax, Abhishek makes his mark,"
don't worry rediff i'll also post the ones that complies with ur view i.e if i find any...
Abhishek B and Ajay D are awesome. I cant believe that Rohit Shetty is first time director. Mindblowing action. Patriotic movie. we all wished our govt n army did this during kandahar hijack
an action flick, not for the chics. i was bored, anyway. plus our group of four, accidently watched it with two of my paki friends, and felt bad they had to sit through the post-interval. lol. i am sure they wanted to walk out =)

hi meena, I don't understand why you chics have to go and see such high-class meaningful movies and come out and criticise them! There are plenty of non-sense sugar dripping lollypop romances by (over)actors like shahrukh and hrithik on the display. So why don't you go there with your friends of any nationality and 'enjoy' them. And as for your Pakistani friends, well I don't think no one is bothered about the nationality of the audience. We only want to see an excellent movie and thats what we have in ZAMEEN.
Please some body tell this critic that she lacks the panache and the understanding 2 write the review of this movie. Ajay Devgan as usual, is just superb and Abhishek is evolving in2 a gr8 actor, just look at the intensity that oozes from his eyes, he is a wonderfully gifted artiste. Look at his graceful dance in the ditty 'mere sanam'. But still people like priya ganapaty giv him such nasty review. Some of these critics ve a partisan view on Abhishek, they just want 2 nail him down, especially the ' The Afternoon Despatch & Courier ' s critic Tanuj Garg. But one day people, the audience, wud shower their wholehearted encomiums on Abhishek and i m sure this Bachchan Scion will outshine everyone. Abhishek Bachchan is here 2 stay and of course, he is the next superstar.
