I strongly believe that the Indian film industry had only 2 superstars so far, who were genuine crowd-pullers. And they are: 1. Amitabh Bachchan and 2. Rajesh Khanna
Dev Anand, Dharmendra and Shahrukh come close, but Amitabh & Rajesh are the only guys who "Ruled".
SRK infact is the best actor in the world. Having Mentioned all the great films of shahruk,the writer of the article forgot to mention Kabhi kushi Kabhi Gham, where he was simply superb. espeically in the scene where he ask hritik.."maa ka khayal rakha....tum itne patle kaise hogaye" and then he hugs him...and the other scene where he meets his mother after a gap of ten years..C'mon guys shah ruk definetly Rules...and he is the best
After reading this article I recalled one incident happenned at my Home quite a long time ago. Those were the early days in Shah Rukh's career with films like Deewana, Chamatkar etc. One day we were watching a song on Chitrahaar on Doordarshan Shah Rukh in it. My Father who was never interested in movies Hindi movies apart saw Shah Rukh on TV (I thing song was from Dewaana) and said "This boy has something in Him. He will make it big some day". I never took his words seriously then. My Father is not with us now but I am amazed now how true my father was. May be Shah Rukh's bubbly energetic acting caught my father's eyes. Shah Rukh rules because he is very talented and a very good actor
The article is bull-shit. Rediff portal shouldn't allow someone's personal views for everyone. I feel a larger cross-section still doesn't like SRK because of his overacting which turns verbose quite often.Sometimes his presence is asphyxiating on the screen.
He may be good dancer but he uses his talent in the birthday of Dawood's daughter. I feel, we should keep distance from such traitors in admiring him.
SRK hmmm i dont think any actor could rule..naahhh..every dog has its day..SRK had it too..amtitabh had ruled for long...first of all SRK has to stop overacting. I dont know why he has to pretend to be someone hes not..he couldnt be Amitabh or Dilip and he has tried to mimic both in his movies in someways..He could be a fantastic actor if he just be himself, I liked his acting in some TV serials before anyone even knew him..I think the only person who has ruled Indian film Industry is Amitabh Bachchan ..He has a power or instinct which no one has it and its rare , hes crowd puller..someone amazing Indian film Industry could ever produce...So SRK dont rule..
Having so many messages to this one article is a way to say that SRK rules. I agree, he is loved by kids,teen girls and old people. Have you seen young kids as small as sitting in their mothers lap saying shah rukh. I think, one who is loved by kids will always be a megastar. But dont you all think that he is doing the hei again and again which he started right from Baazigar. But as life goes on, the phase changes. Come on let us welcome the arrival of the new hero Hrithik. He is bad in selecting movies or directors in India dont know what movie to give him now ! Has anybody seen KMG. Best acting ever in recent times! What Hrithik may lack in flamboyance, in energy as SRK he makes up in his Dance Energy and looks. So, it is even right ! and to say he can do different roles he has the chance to be become the best bollywood star internationally! But to date I have not forgot what SRK said when he accepted DDLJ filmfare, he went on to say that he wish he could fight ajay, dance like govinda, act like aamir and look like salman. Yes, SRK is very smart in talk (also is Preity Zinta) that's why he is liked by so many but modest Hrithik sends message across through his films.
srk is a genious....i have to say a lot about him....he is tiger of the indian film industry.....you can call him THE KING.....right from his early performances in baazigar,raju ban gaya gentleman and darr......to ddlj, dil to pagal hai, kuch kuch hota hai and devdas......i enjoyed his movies the most..but u know i liked him much in hum tumhare hai sanam and chalte chalte....the way he acts when he is angry....perfect expressions ..unmatching style of smoking a ciggarette...mysterious eyes....talking to a horse in hum tumhare hain sanam was a wonderful shot by him....but his passion for love in his movies is something breathtaking (especially for married or engaged ladies).....he can perform any type of role.....with expertise.......hats off to shahrukh khan......THE ONLY THING WHICH IS SAD IS THAT HE WAS IN USA FOR AROUND THREE MONTHS AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO MEET HIM..but no probs.....i will meet him one day....my friend srikant is also a great fan of srk......he also enjoys his movies.....and can act also like srk....we often have that fun...... ooopss its long message....i pack up now....... thanks praveen yadav
When everybody talking abt SRK, AAMIR, AJAY, should mention abt akki, as he is one among the most verstile actors in the film industry, his initial films were bad, but we grew up steadily, look at his action, emotions and dance or comedy he's doing well enough. I would consider him on par with SRK who started off brialliantly but to be frank now he sucks bigtime, his movies r all directed by big banners who give him a typecast role and has limited options. I think its hard to tell in which movie he did a good job and in which he overacted. I liked some of his movies , such as YES BOSS and KABHI HAAN KABI NA..but I just dont give credit to SRK for those movies, it was excellent direction and good entertainment provided by whole team. Every actor needs a good direction . Even Amitabh Bachchan needed good directors to be in a place he is now. The only versatile and genuine actor I would say ever Indian film industry has seen is Amitabh Bachchan. We can have another Amitabh for sure..not in my life. SRK is 100 steps behind Amitabh , thats all. Besides I think Amir Khan is also one of the best actors we have had. I give Amir 20 points and SRK 19...but thats just me..
Shahrukh is the ultimate actor of India... The whole country should be proud to have a veteran like him...He's simply superb ! I really cannot put it forward through words, how great a person he is and how much I like him!
