Contd.. after Part 1. SRK's biggest disappointments were Subhash Ghai's TRIMURTI, Mani Rathnam's DIL SE, Mansoor Khan's JOSH, Abbas Mustans' BAADSHAH and M.F.Hussain's GAJ GAMINI. Films with Mahesh Bhatt like CHAAHAT and DUPLICATE also bite the dust. Special appearance of SRK in films like ARMY, HEY RAM, SHAKTI failed to rescue them at the Box Office. Effort to rescue K.C.Bokadia's career in his film HUM TUMHARE HAIN SANAM was successful to a little extent. Dreamz Unlimited SRK's own banner delivered three consecutive flops PHIR BHI DIL HAI HINDUSTANI, ASOKA and ONE TWO KA FOUR before CHALTE CHALTE. So readers its now better known that the industry was not a bed of roses for SRK right from the start.
For SRK, the industry was not a bed of roses as depicted by Sukanya Verma. In fact SRK had to face quiet a bit of ups and downs early in his career. Let me say something which Sukanya Verma did not mention, to illustrate how difficult it was for SRK to get the ground in the film industry. DIL AASHNA HAI which was supposed to be SRK debut was a complete let down, thank God its release was delayed and DEEWANA was released before it. Then CHAMATKAR with Urmila was equally unimpressive. Ketan Mehta's MAYA MEMSAAB starring SRK and Deepa Sahi also failed to impress the masses. Then KABHI HAAN KABHI NAA although a good film, could not light the Box Office. SRK made three films with Papa Roshan, KING UNCLE, KARAN ARJUN, KOYLA. KARAN ARJUN was a major hit but KING UNCLE and KOYLA had nothing to say. SRK's negative shades in ANJAAM and RAM-JAANE failed to impress. Meanwhile he had already delivered some stupid films like GUDDU and OH DARLING YEH HAI INDIA!. ZAMAANA DEEWANA with Raveena and ENGLISH BABU DESI MEM with Sonali was better forgetable. Contd.. in Part 2.
I consider SRK as a Stereotyped actor who can do a certain kind of role. He is not versatile, and cannot excel in different roles. He has tremendous limitations. So I consider him as All Smoke No Fire.

I think u have not seen all Shahrukh Khan's films. He has got tremendous variety of roles, he can do negative roles as well as comedy roles, action, serious and hero type roles without any difficulty.
Who ever can play the mad lover role (Darr)
light comic role in (Yess Boss)
Negative performance in Baazigar
Serious role in Mohabbatein, K3G etc.
So dude before posting a message think twice i think u have not seen his all movies

Who else None other Sharukh!!!I don't want to say anything more about sharukh he is No1 and King Khan to till date.See the fact is from 90's to till dtae who is ruling the industry who gave many hits he gave devdas and chalte chalte recent hits and he has many good movies in hand(under production).One example i'll give about his skills...see mohabateen he literally dominated Big B..So no doubt he is king of all infact he is so brilliant than Amitabh...aim die hard fan of Sharukh..In my opinion Top 10 actors according to the years... 1)Amitabh,2) Rajesh Khanna, 3)Dilip kumar 4)Anil Kapoor 5)Aamir Khan 6)Hole 90's to till date Sharukh...7)Hrithik and thats it...

hey yaar, amitji is the greatest , but srk is 500 times better than hrithik or abhishek or vivek. i believe that sharukh is the 2nd best superstar after, ofcourse mr.bachan... my top stars... 1.amitji 2.srk 3.dilipji 4.rajeshji & amir khan 5. raj kapoor 6.dev anand 7. ajay devagan 8. salman khan 9. paresh rawal 10. abhishek, hrithik & co.. happy b'day......sharukh bhai
There is no doubt that SRK is one of the finest actors in commercial cinema.His perfomance in movies like Asoka and Dil Se will become a subject matter of study a decade from now. But he still has to prove himself as an actor so for as non commercial cinema is concerned. There is no dearth of talent in Bollywood.Actors like Naseeruddin Shah(Chakra & Pestonjee),Om Puri(Ardhya Satya & Paar) and Raghuvir Yadav(Massey Saheb,Salaam Bombay) are gems.Nana Patekar(Parinda,Shakti),Ashish Vidyarthi(Drohkaal) and Manoj Bajpai(Aks),Dubeji(Monsoon Wedding fame),Surabh Shukla(Kallu Mama,Satya fame),Rajit Kapoor(Sooraj Ka Satwaan Ghoda)are a few names which can be rated above SRK as far as acting is concerned.Commercially they are obviously not as successful as SRK but they leave ample scope for SRK to improve and experiment. I have written all this because I believe that SRK has the potential and will match them in the time to come.He still has to learn a lot.

Although our names are same, our opinions are different. I wonder why all SRK fans are jeleous about Hrithik. The reason is that, Hrithik has dethroned SRK from his chair right after his debut. And now with KMG becomong a major hit, Hrithik has maintained his position at the top.

SRK excels only in Romantic Roles in his Godfathers' films. Who r his Godfathers? Yash Chopra and Yash Johar. Can anybody name any film of SRK outside their banners which are major hits?

Hello Sudha,
I m noone to correct u but could not resist when I read ur top 10 list. It seems, u think acting and glamour are same.
Apart from shaking legs Mr. H. R. Roshan is a average actor. If u drop his the face value and compare then u will find Mr. Raghuvir Yadav is miles ahead of him. Pleas do not compare a kid with the legend like Mr. Haribhai Zariwala aka Sanjeev Kumar.
Before commenting, please watch more movies of different genre... I suggest at least 4 a week. Although I go for at least 10 movies a week. Then u will be in a position to understand what is acting?
wateva u said i agree but dude for me srk where he goes wrong is in choosin films his many movie roles r same ol romantic rahul stuff he always plays.. thats why my kinda actor is someone like an aamir khan or ajay devgan who in their films have a variety of roles that they have playd.. when it is an aamir movie u always wait for it caz u know its gonna be somethin differnt.. srk is a showman kinda actor but for an actor is someone who surprises u wid diffrnt roles..

I think that the person here is not a regular movie watcher coz can it be possible for any normal person to overtake a giant .Can Mr.Anil Ambani ever take the place of his father Mr.Dhirubhai Ambani in one day . Now thats a real nurdy thing as to one single hit of hritik is gonna take him to the no.1 slot and thaqt too with the fact that it was his fathers film while Shahrukh has prooved himself for years before getting to this place and that too on his own . i personally think theres no one as great as him after Mr.Big B
Does SRK looks as good as Aamir? No. Can SRK dance as good as Hrithik? No. Does he have the physique of Salman? No. Is he a versatile actor? No. Does he repeat this style of acting? YES YES YES. Does he rule in India? No. Who rules India?? Aamir and Hrithik.

Who is more energetic : SRK Who is more regular with hits : SRK
Sukanya Verma has already prepared a GOOD review of Kal Ho Na Ho even before the completion of the shooting of the film. Thats a great news for us. Thanks Sukanya, keep it up.
