Homcide Charge on salman dropped
by S.Nizamuddin on Sep 03, 2003 03:53 PM

When so many such accidents occur ,salman was singled out and charged
with such a charge which aim at tarnishing his image
and troubling him .
Prosecutors should know what charges can be proved ,
instead they waste the valuable time of judiatury.

regards

Make Salman Regret his Crime
by Mrutyunjaya Tipnis on Sep 03, 2003 03:17 PM

The Indian Law has been peppered with loop holes larger the perhaps the Black Holes in the Milky way. Look at the Pururaj case son of Raj Kumar, the man's out scot free. The Nanda Case is a no go situation. Elements like these two men must be given Cardinal Punishments so that they set an example to would be habitual offenders. Just because Celebrities have the connections amidst the system, they seem to go scot free. The media per se just plays the role of fuelling gossip rather than giving strong support to the berieved. Cases like these get burried in tons of paper work, it is indeed futile to even try and change this situation.

What else was expected?
by Rajeev Venkat on Sep 03, 2003 02:16 PM

What else was expected? Particularly when the whole "Secular" media gone out of its way to project this person as a "spoilt brat" and a "hurt soul" and even gone to the extent of declaring his recent release a HIT before it was screened in the process concluding it as a proof of public sympathy and pardon. God Save this Country!

advantages of being rich and famous
by lata kishore on Sep 03, 2003 02:16 PM

yes, you can get away with anything and prove anything in India - the only qualification you require is "being rich and famous/notorious". when many innocents are lying in jails for waiting for witnesses and through them justice, we have the other breed who can buy any amount of witnesses either to support their case or plead ignorance. I hope atleast there is divine justice for them and the parents who look the other way though professing great thoughts in press and gatherings. - lata kishore

salman let off the hook!!
by Concerned citizen on Sep 03, 2003 02:16 PM

This is so typical! If the court wanted to let him off the hook initially, what was the point of this drama?? How long will the common citizen bear the brunt of the worng doings of a SAlman Khan? Far too often the rich and the powerful get away with henious crimes, in fact, it has become the rule!

Once again, starpower wins over justice! What is this country coming to and what would it take to punish the wrong, especially the rich and powerful? DOes this mean that justice will ALWAYS be blind to the common citizen?

At a time when the pride in the common Indian is slowly returning, this is surely a dampner to the faith that people instill in this country! Why can't this fellow, who keeps on harming people be punished? How does him being a film actor excuse him from his obligations and respect to other human beings?

This judgement is extremely appaling and should be overturned and for once,...just once...let the guilty be punished, based on the crime alone...& restore SOME faith of the common citizen in the judiciary!

Salman Money Power
by Ashvin Oza on Sep 03, 2003 02:15 PM

What can be said about the Judicial System, which cannot give JUST Ruling. Sad commentory on our Judicial System.

Anywhere else he would have been charged, tried and sentenced for Driving Under Influence, Vehicular Man-slaughter, Endangorment of Public Safety, Fleaing site of Accident, False Statements and whatever other Laws apply to this type of crime.

Any other Normal Citizen would have been taken to Police Station, Beaten, Signed Confession taken, Tried and Sentenced.

Only in our Country can Money buy person out of Jail.
