films are not supposed to be mere entertainement. i think news papers, and TV are extremely biased and commercial, which makes it so hard to find individuality. Independent film making is a good breakthrough for people with a sense of reality, logic and maybe a hint of humanity...i must say that every time we see a movie..we should ask this question, "why did he or she make this film" it always helps me find the purpose of a certain creation. i think it is time to leave our naive selves and socialize with others' opinions outside our shells.
His movie shows a girl married to 5 brothers, so what's the big deal?? Mahabarat which is mythology and go great importance to all in India shows Draupadi married to 5 brothers no one has a say over it, do we?? We get hurt when someone depicts his version of Indian reality. Well can any of the critics of this article tell, for sure, that there actions have always pleased one & all?? Its not humanly possible so why go hammer & nails over someones sincere efforts. Also how many people have really visited Bihar, U.P & Orrisa. This are brutal realities of this rejions to a great extent even in rest of India which he is trying to depict thru flims, its not all hunky-dory in India wake up to reality guys.
I think director manish jha whoever is totally confused,at one time he says ,my mom was good as not spoiled by education and the next moment he talks about problems in India.Major problem of india is Illiteracy,once u are literate,if not to take a decision it atleast teaches you think.
