No one was interested in the IIFA awards as everyone knew that Devdas would bag all the awards. In short the IIFA awards become stale by the time they are announced because they are given after other awards by different sponsors had already given away their awards. By the way one could not understand as to why was Ismail Darbar was not given the award? In fact he was not given any award for Devdas. Certainly the music of Devdas was also one of the highlight of the film and the sales were also good. It is fact that he had differences with Sanjay Bhansali and Ismail Durbar also walked out of the film. So could it be that Sanjay Bhansali would have been responsible for Ismail Darbar not getting the award. In Bollywood anything is possible.
This article makes me squirm and I feel sick in the stomach. The standards of the audience and cinema are so miserably low that Devdas is considered an Epic! U just need some poetry and big stars to make an Epic of a movie, when will Bolywood get some sense? Or have they decided to go the Lalloo way and remain a Joke.
Kudos to Mohanlal! This actor has already won a couple of awards for his Company show. And this is the first time a Malayali actor is getting such recognition. The best thing is that, he could prove there's more from South in terms of acting, than those repeated shows from Rajanikanth and Kamalhassan.
i thought it meant indian cinema not just bollywood blockbusters, how come no other language movies where mentioned ? is indian cinema jus bollywood movies ? then it shud not be named IIFA , it rather be Bollywood awards !
its great that bollywood has reached beyond india.this time johanneaburg next time oscars guys.congrats to the winners and request to audience to stop piracy.dont watch movies on pirated cds .its our loss
It is a suprise that Devdas was considered the best and getting all the awards. Looks like the standard of awards have stooped so much that non performers like Aishwarya and a crap film like Devdas getting awards.
