Bachchan rules ! is what comes to my mind on hearing/reading such a news. I feel proud to be an Indian to share the same soil which has produced the legend called Amitabh Bachchan. Cheers !!
generally South Indians don't gove a damn to Hindi movies.Amitabh,who won the National award for agneepath,on the casting vote of chairman Ashok kumar,can not be compared to actors like Kamal,Mammooty and Mohanlal if acting abilities are considered.He is the most popular actor India has ever produced thanks to the wide rach of Hindi cinema.So,Sundra,don't get worried about media ignoring South,popularity doesn't necessarily make a good yardstck for quality.
I have nothing against bachan, but i think the accolades as the actor of the millenium etc is a bit too much. He pales in comparison when pitted against sanjeev kumar / sivaji ganesan, kamal hassan, prem nazir.
Any list which includes Madonna as an actress cannot be genuine.
I guess its a popular list which is no doubt influenced by the contemporariness of the lot. i mean, how many of the present generation have seen liz taylor or vivien leigh at her best.
Another piece of crap (the OUTLOOK style)..its not the 100 greatest actors, 100 most popular actors.Comapring people of different era,nationalities,language is nothing but job of those who dont have anything to do.
