There was and will be only one Johnny Walker. The same for that greatest singer Mohammed Rafi popularly known as Rafi Sahab. Both were made for each other. It was a great combination. The great Music directors lik OP Nayyar,Ravi,Shankar Jaikrishen, etc created some of the best tunes for Johnny with the voice of Rafi Sahab. Both of them are immortal.

A small correction

This is for the writer of this piece... it has nothing to do with the matter of the article - just something I noticed...

FYI, Tom and Jerry is NOT a Walt Disney Studios animation... it belongs to Warner Brothers studios. A very minor point, but then, if you are trying to make a point, get your facts right...

Johnny Walker was not the first!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Aug 02, 2003 09:10 PM

We had Maruti, Kesri, Gope and Yakub, who were there long before Johnny Walker came to limelight. Of course, Johnny had his own charm and style, but like the Bollywood culture, once a drunk always a drunk. Good laughter has come by the dozens even from Mehmood, Om Parkash, Raj Kapoor, and Dilip Kumar, not to forget Govinda.

Insult to Johnny Walker
by enraged on Jul 30, 2003 02:16 PM

Its an insult to say that Johnny Walker was popular... as is Johnny Lever (!!) today.

Because, there is a difference between class and crap.
Because, Johnny walker was class and Johnny lever is crap.
Because, J. Walker knew comedy and J. Lever has no idea about it.
Because, J. Lever symbolizes everything that J. Walker disliked. (rediff article).
