Its an insult to say that Johnny Walker was popular... as is Johnny Lever (!!) today.
Because, there is a difference between class and crap. Because, Johnny walker was class and Johnny lever is crap. Because, J. Walker knew comedy and J. Lever has no idea about it. Because, J. Lever symbolizes everything that J. Walker disliked. (rediff article).
As a child i could only visulise and equate comedy with Johny Walker.Remember the way he used to say " Pyare" That Echo would never die.Bye Bye Mr Walker.
bollywood keeps on losing more and more legends.today apart from srk none can be called a superstar!due to lacklustre stories written none of todays movies will be called a classic when we see it 25 years later.the comedians of yesteryears were truly hardworking and impressed all with their acting.hats off to them for keeping us laughing when we see their movies.may their tribe increase!
