Remix artistes are desparate people trying the shortcut to fame and popularity. They dont understand the relevance of struggle and hardwork. They are trying to bury the very foundation of Art called Creativity.

i definitely agree with the senior musicians of the indian film industry. this is a serious breach of patent rights moreover indian public has to be saved from being tortured by these ugly songs. no matter how saucy and vulgar they might make an old song on video they can never steal the beauty of the song as in the original. i am glad that finally somebody thought of taking up this matter. go ahead, after all everybody wants to see some originality in the music.

I agree. No more remixes.
by Sameer Lalwani on Jul 11, 2003 12:33 PM

Yes I guess its correct. Remixes are getting too much nowadays. Earlier, some selected songs used to get remixed and I must admit some of them sounded good as well.
But nowadays, any song gets remixed..Add to that a sizzling video..And hey..U have another hopefully "hit" song on hand..
The other day I was a remix of "Saaiyaan Dil Mein Aana Re", originally sung by Shamshad Begum.
Wat a shocker..They have remixed the song with the Spice Girl flavor.I guess Shamshad Begum must be turning in her grave.

Stop this nonsense people. Lets get to hear some good, new, ORIGINAL music.

Amen.

I happen to read this article and I would like to
congrulate for the efforts that have been taken to
stop this remixes. They are just simply trying to destory the oringal version of the music. If prime minister takes action to this to a certain extent we can avoid music priacy and these "remixes"

Kaliyon Ka Chaman

It is about time they stopped this nonsense. These new musicians (I would hate to call them "artistes") have no talent of their own and have the nerve to ruin the classics. They should be stopped in their tracks (no pun intended).
