No more Kaliyon ka chaman (thankfully!!!)
by Shivaji on Jul 10, 2003 05:10 PM

No news in recent times has made me so much happy. As it is said, better late than never, organisations like IPRS have finally started campaigning against these trash. We don't need some DJ to cater R.D.Burman's music to generation Y. I would like to ask all music lovers to help stop this vandalism.Thanks.

what is happening is wrong, shud be stopped
by truthseeker on Jul 10, 2003 05:06 PM

if u ban re-mix of old classicals, the younder generation, will not be interested in the old
original songs and we will slowly loose our
music heritage.

our music industry is one of the world oldest.but
also not so modern, although our music is the oldest
in the world.

by remix etc the prices of the cassette or cd
comes down and the common man can afford it.

earlier cd and cassette from big co,were very very
expensive and they behaved in imperial and autocratic
manner.

after t-series came they came to their senses and
now prices of cd,etc r affordable,and everyone
knows the rest.

so,no one shud interfere with the laws.

if the song is good and priced resonably
it will sell.

Kill the remix creation trend !
by Jaspal on Jul 10, 2003 04:33 PM

Our Indian music is one of the best in the world. Listen to gems like Rafi Sahab ... Lata ... Kishore da ... Mukesh ..... Mahinder Kapoor .... Asha ... Manna Dey .... How can one play around with the brilliant songs .. the lovely melodies that these gems sang and created history ??

Remix trend should be brought to an end. Under the pretext of remixing these youngsters are spoiling our heritage and our lovely music. If these so called singers of today have real talent let them create their own lyrics and their own music. The singers of today are good for nothing...almost every college going guy or girl can be a singer today. This all is utter non-sense and a big blot to our heritage.
Someone please convey my message to these singers and composers to go and learn music first and then attempt singing.
For God's sake please leave the old songs alone !!
