i was really shocked to read anbe sivam review by rediff. what the hell is wrong with the reviewer? The movie is undoubtedly kamal's career best with some taut screenplay and superb characterisations. And the reviewer is either biased or plain stupid. Its fine if you lack the intellect to appreciate an Al Pacino of indian cine industry but atleast refrain from such mud slinging. I dont expect every tom dick and harry to appreciate cinema with subtle nuances and innuendoes but such folks have no business to be writing reviews on popular columns. I think it is a moral obligation for rediff to look into this matter and issue an apology for such malicious propoganda over the net.

Yes, It is all time great movie. I was really shocked by seeing rediff comments on this movie. Rediff needs to scale up a lot in the review section.

hmmm... this is one of the best movies definitely to happen in indian cinema...
and the review at rediff was so immature and short-sighted, i wonder if there should be a test that people should pass to become a reviewer...
currently, u dont need any credentials for becoming a) a politician in india b) a film reviewer. let us not defile the role of a reviewer by letting people like this do reviews at rediff.

You guys never be able to appreciate a good Tamil film. Your so called BOLLYWOOD will never be able to take a good films. They will never take good films like the tamil film industry and u people will never be able to appreciate a good tamil movie. There was no movie based on KASHMIR before ROJA came. Hindi Film Industry will never be able to take good quality movies like the following Tamil Films 1.ROJA 2.Bombay 3.Indian( of course it was remaked in Hindi as HINDUSTANI) 4.Gentleman and so on
5.Anjali I am not saying that all the HINDI movies are not of good quality. There are few exceptions like LAGAAN,GADAR,MISSION KASHMIR,FIZA and K3G. Even remaked versions of the hollywood movies like HUMRAAZ where the screen play is good. We will appreciate good hindi movies unlike u people who never use to appreciate good Tamil Movies.
Let me challenge you a thing. Is there is one Hindi movie without a song. A movie should never be based on songs alone.
If u want me to pick up one actor in India who could act in a film without showing his face in the entire movie but still make a good impact in the film then it will be KAMAL HASAN. I agree the fact that there are certain films which he only spoiled like AALAVANDHAN(ABHAY in Hindi). Hs is a great actor and it will be nice if he restricts hinself to acting rather than going into Story,screenplay and Direction kind of stuffs.

I saw the movie just yeaterday and I think it is one of the BEST movies... The movie has been taken carefully so that there is no flaw in it.. The screenplay and Kamal's and Madhavan's acting is excellent!!!

I totally agree with this. U company person who commented on this film is not a mutured one i suppose.
Anbe Sivam movie is certainly a landmark of Tamil cinema. Though it is little bit dragging in few places we should still appreciate Kamal and his team for their effort to give a quality movie on par with hollywood one.
