Haqueekat is a great film which has the inimit able Balraj sahni . who can match him . Hindustaan Ki Kasam acted by the great actor Raj Kumar and off course Purab aur paschim/Upkar are the greatest patriotic films. Modern films are uselss , boring with out any thing only but exposure
Yup!! Yup !! I agree, one of the most complete movie ever screened on India Screen. Aamir Khan's (my fav actor, SRK? huh) splendid, excellent, extra-ordinary, outstanding performance ever. Though no doubt his performance is good in every of his film. But the best in Lagaan and DCH.
i found this movie tobe terribly boring.none of the characters were believable.in the early 60's b.r.chopra made "naya daur" which was more realistic and extremely entertaining with interesting characters and great performance.the theme of "lagaan" is similar but the execution is very anaemic compared to "naya daur".
do u people mean that patriotism only means fighting at the war front...! I am sorry for this knowledge of yours.
Patriotism is fighting the evil in your land , irrespective of all...
In the aforesaid film , the charachter - 'Bhuvan' doesn't fight for his own self but for the entire fraternity (He treats the villagers as his own family) what more ...the best form of patriotism is protecting the common man from the evil , whether accross the border or in your neighbourhood. Please grow up, and at least try to do what 'Bhuvan' did.
and mind you, cricket was not there for the sake of it...it was used as an medium to convey the message. and i m quite sure , you people know how powerful this medium is..

I think anyone who says that Lagaan is all about cricket and has no patriotism has missed the magic of the movie totally. FYKI, I do NOT play cricket at all, Soumya!
no question about it ...that it's the best ....not only as a patroitic one's ....but i still belive that it is the one of the best made in india cinema ...but then tooo...i still dont say that it was flawless ...it had some .....
p.s : i know u never said that but ...i am just saying in general ..
