This is once again jara hatke film in our bollywood. it seen once again, becos beauty of reshma(rashmi) she's look like as an originally kashmiri girls.
In India, we take into account the # of weeks a film runs to classify it as a hit or a flop. This was a good method in old days as cinema halls were few, and it was easy to judge the collections.
Now with multiplexes and competition from Hollywood, it would make sense to take into account the collection of a film. A film doing a 80% business in five to six cinema halls in a city is in fact doing a much better business than a film doing 95% business in a couple of cinema halls in a city.
With the ever increasing # of films and cinema halls, it is imperative to change the method of classifying a film as hit or flop. In this modern era, all a film has to do is run for a few weeks [given the large # of prints], and it would make some money. Of course collections and loss is a totally different matter. A film made at say 55 crores budget may make a loss, in spite of taking good collections.
It is wrong to classify The Hero has a flop, considering the new method. It must have taken a good collection. If the distributors dont earn too much then its their problem.
THe hero is a worth watching movie, and it does influence the general public to be devoted towards their home land. The movie has the ting of hoolywood style but why can't one digest that? Its a movie full of reality. My group and I watched the movie and fully appreciate each part of it. 100% to Sunny bhai and preety zinta, we would love to see more of this type of movies. Jai hind!!!
sometimes I wonder about people's psyche....they will make a movie like "Raaz" a super hit with 17th century playouts...and a super deal and entertaining like "Hero" is put in flop category...
This movie is much better than the tear-jerking and rona-dhina type family drama shown on TV as well as on the silver screen to make the fool of the people. This movie is much better then silly romantic movies shown these days.It is good that at least someone tries to make a great action movie with a good storyline.
The Hero is best film of this decade. Sunny has given the best perormance again. It's a superhit film. The BO verdict given by rediff is not justified.
