We cannot generalize & comment on the statement given by Chanda Kochar .
She is at very top level & so is her husband .
They are not middle or simple senior level employees , from whom you expect that every thing of a husband must be known to wife . ( Like typical , you know , Indian family )
At such a level professionalism prevails & their paths are different .
So , she might be telling truth that she was unaware of her husbands dealings .
DOES NEETA KNOWS ALL DEALINGS / DECISIONS /
FUTURE PLANNING / INVESTMENTS OF MUKESH AMBANI ??
NO - - - THEN ??
An Independent probe by external agency must be done , then only truth will come out .

Neeta Ambani is not as educated and holding post of CEO like Chanda kochar. Neeta Ambani can not be expected or asked to know about the business of such a giant organisation like Reliance. Your comparision of Chanda kochar with Neeta Ambani is totally wrong. No one can believe except people like you that she was unaware about the facts. Do you think in an orgainsation like ICICI Bank any one can get huge loan from the bank against accepted norms and risk factors without knowledge of full time CEO ? Do you think Independent Directors who are not whole time directors and attend only board and committeed meeting s can get powers to grant huge loans ? This is unbelievable. It is better if Chanda Kochar stop putting her futile efforts to convience people about her innocence in the matter and accept her guilt and resign from her post without any further delay.

How can an inquirty conducted by ICICI Board instead of outside agency against the ICICI boss who can very well influence the members of the board who conduct inquiry ? SEBI and a paper tiger not do anthhing in the matter. Why the government and finance ministry is silent on this issue where ther is no doubt about misuse ofm power, position to illegally help the spouse of Chanda kochar ? This thick skinned, shameless lady think that every one other than her are idiots and they will take her statement on face value.

Quite surprising that she was not aware of her husbands dealing. She is no ordinary wife to be unaware of her husbands doing. Whom to believe these days?
