Piri you seem to be an asss. Number of people filing income tax returns has gone up by 61% according to today's papers. The NPAs of banks stand at 9 lakh crores and these have been created over 60 years of congress rule. The NDA asked the banks to clean their books and that is how this mess surfaced. If the government is going after these looters I see nothing wrong with this. Even ICICI which showed a profit of 2000 crores has shown a loss of 120 crores Why? You guys want a perfect world but none of you beggars want to pay for anything. I run my own company and have been filing taxes every year honestly and have never been harassed by any authorities. You dont want Mallayas to exist but you also don't want fraudsters to be punished

Read my post and comment on it if you have a point.
I was referring to the biggest single reason for big time corruption - the gigantic election campaign and propaganda expenditure of political parties such as the BJP and the Congress !
As per Notification no 28 dated 9/03/2009 clause 37BA 3(ii) ii) Where tax has been deducted at source and paid to the Central Government and the income is assessable over a number of years, credit for tax deducted at source shall be allowed across those years in the same proportion in which the income is assessable to tax.

Yes if deductee has cash accounting system and deductor has mercantile type of accounting this probelm arises. The CPC should change/Rectify software.
