surprised to see nobody sees agriculture as a big job creator
by KARAN on Oct 03, 2017 12:50 PM

It is very surprising to see NOBODY THINKS agriculture modernisation could be a game changer, which if systematically planned and executed can generate at least 300 million jobs, enhance agricultural and value added products from the current 39 lakh crores to at least 100 lakh crores giving sustainable RURAL EMPLOYMENT, in a period of eight years. Many a mails written to PM's office ,agriculture minister's office does not even an acknowledgement.PM has given many ways to contact him, through mails, letters, phones etc and nothing generates any response.Calls are answered only in Hindi, only to tell that write a mail. Our area MP's are not helpful either. But then India is a country of HYPE, TALK BIG , NO ACTION.Unfortunately Modi has become a symbol of TALK,NO ACTION.

What kind of growth is it when 90% of population is out of it?'
by susarla suryaprakasam on Oct 03, 2017 12:47 PM

Hence following steps are recommended:
1. Reduce population to half,
2. Arrange skill building among all, assessing their taste, ability, attitude etc.
3. Incentivise all jobs,Govt. / private and not on scale basis like the Bengalis say " Chakiri korte Thanka chay, cause korte OT chay". Salary should be in pittance and incentive should be plenty.
4. Retirement age should be based on merit and status like in Army, not like drawing salary whether you idle away the time in smoking beedi or drinking chay, but on the difficulty of job.
5. Agriculture labour also should be treated on par with other employees for incentivising, with higher incentive for higher output. Pension scheme should be introduced and contribution should be deducted at source and equal amount to be contributed by land owner.

Demonetisation drama & GST tantrums
by B B Sharma on Oct 03, 2017 12:35 PM

The entire business community - traders & consumers - is yet to regain its breadth after being buffeted twice - first by demonetisation drama & now by GST tantrum.
Economy survey said that no. of indicators - GDO, IIP , Credit , Investment & capacity utilization , all point to deceleration of real activity since 1st Qrt of 2016 -17.
It needs to be understood that consumption driven , job - less growth , encouraged by flawed policies has created the situation.
Excise duty on fuel hiked 9 times in 14 months & Govt mopped up 2.67 lakh crores in 2016 -17 , but even this huge loot could not bail out the economy.
Perhaps people are fed up with JUBLAS & deliberate distortion meant to turn economic failure into intangible political success albeit un apologetic stupidity.
The enthusiasm that rode Modi Govt. into office is on the wane & is losing its mojo.
