One year has since passed since Demonetization of high value notes have been introduced in the country and tax paying common citizen request Finance Ministry and RBI to come out with a white paper in the matter covering all the aspects like quantum of black money caught, cost incurred by the Government under various heads like printing of new notes, transportation of new notes through different modes including helicopter, advertisements made, shamianas erected in all the Bank branches throughout India, overtime compensation paid to the Bank staff, extra wages paid to the staff for printing of notes, storage of old notes and its destroyal, operation shredded notes, including time factor involved, reported army's help for the purpose, man hours and cost factor involved, cost factor thereof, loss of properties / lives, other attendant expenditure, cost of advertisements made, how the bottom line of the Banks moved from March 31, 2016 to March 31, 2017 to June 30, 2017 to September 30 2017, Movement of Non Performing Assets of the Banks (NPAs) during the said period, how GDP moved in the last 4 to 6 quarters etc. These type of information will certainly pave way to make a meaningful cost benefit analysis and also an eye opener while taking such major decisions, in future in larger / long term interest of the nation.

Sir,
Even in cleaning water tank , efforts in terms of time and money are incurred, but ,the benefits outweigh such expenses. Similarly, Demo was an excellent move which hit the black money hoarders like the corrupt political leaders, corrupt govt officers/ babu and businessmen the most.

On what basis
by Sunil Kumar on Nov 15, 2017 09:07 PM

On what basis is govt gettting ready to pay 7th pay commission?? When people are laid off from jobs and the salaries have been cut by half for hte existing employees, only malls and E-commercce bussiness running, what are the non-govt employees and unemployed left with in this country ?? I think it is time to tell that we as citizens oppose any recommendations of pay commision, except for minimum wage correction at the low level, and there is a need to start a movement in the country against pay commission when people with no incomes are bearing the brunt of no money and no jobs. If the govt employees are unhappy with current salaries, ask them to vacate the positions and almost everyone would want to work for lesser salaries for the govt. it is time to rise now.

I had loved our PM for his courage and some bold decisions that took the stature of hte country to another level, but locally, he has done a lot of damage by asking people to go digital and use cellphone apps to do their transactions. This has exponentially affected all the related small shops that dealt in ticketing (earned meager amounts to meet their home needs), bill collection centers, and such others, triggering an exponential loss of self-employment and loss of jobs. This has only benefitted the telecom providers and cell phone companies. On what basis is govt gettting ready to pay 7th pay commission?? When people are laid off from jobs and the salaries have been cut by half for hte existing employees, only malls and E-commercce bussiness running, what are the non-govt employees and unemployed left with in this country ?? Demonetisation of the old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes on November 8, 2016, has disrupted economic activity, particularly in the informal sector.
From 8.7 per cent, growth has decelerated to 5.7 per cent in Q2 of 2017.
The Labour Bureau’s figures show unemployment up from 3.8 per cent in 2011-12 to 5.0 per cent in 2015-16.
Between 2015-16 and 2016-17, growth in manufacturing declined from 10.8 per cent to 7.9 per cent, and in construction from 5.0 per cent to 1.7 per cent.
Many projects, particularly in infrastructure, are stalled. The value of stalled projects rose from Rs 10.7 trillion in September 2016 to Rs 13.2 trillion in September 2017.
Between 2011-12 and 2016-17, as a proportion of gross domestic product (GDP), gross fixed capital formation fell from 42 per cent to 38.4 per cent.
Growth in bank credit slowed down from 10.9 per cent in 2015-16 to 8.1 per cent in 2016-17.
The overall gross non-performing assets (NPA) of banks, as proportion of their gross advances, have almost quadrupled from 2.5 per cent in March 2011 to 9.6 per cent in March 2017.
The Goods and Service Tax (GST) has added a further disruption, particularly for small and medium businesses.

need to take a long term view of economy.
kindly consider two very important factors1)
world wide economic slowdown
2)in last 4 years, two poor monsoon seasons
and, we should not forget that the root cause for all problem is overpopulation/population explosion.
Unfortunately, we are reaching a stage when we will have to compulsorily enforce One child only policy

EVERY ACTIVITY has positive and negative effects ,
REGUARDING LOSS OF SHOPKEEPERS which has turned into profit of shopping malls .
Now a days people are more intrested in going to shopping malls - Like D mart - which sells at price equal to local shopkeepers - one can purchase - all monthly requirements in one visit . This trend is increasing in all big cities - small shopkeepers are no longer favoured by customers .
and the trend is shifting to malls - This is a serious matter for india as People are loosing work .However the govt cannot be blamed as this trend is picking up even in small cities .

WHY PEOPLE NOT TURNING TO SMALL SHOPS - because - there are limited stocks and low variety to explore - also no - CARD PAYMENT facilities .
those who go to Malls purchase min - 800 to 1000 Rs material in one visit . where as this may not be the case with locak kirana shops .
