GST tax rate is not an issue. But the additional costs in maintaining the GST regime is the real issue. While large businesses will have no impact, small businesses will have to bear this additional burden.Small businesses are already on doldrims and this additional cost may turn to be suicidal. Unfortunately no body is addressing their concerns.

And small businesses are being branded as thiefs who do not want to pay taxes. Even media is also not concerned.

It is correct. Small businessman like Grocery shops, Footwear shop, Cloth merchants are not paying tax even if they earn more than lakh. They need to register in GST and pay some tax. It is not duty of nly the big induatries or the slaried persons to provide tax. Govet benift is equally enjoyed y everybody. So, tax also needs to be paid by all who are applicable.

This is rubbish!! Small businesses will recover tax from buyers. There will be no net outgo for them.
WILL THE POST OFFICE BE CHARGING THE GST ON FIRST DAY COVERS AND STAMPS ETC. WHO WILL CLARIFY THIS ? WHAT A BLOW TO THE HOBBY OF EVEN CHILDREN. EVEN THE CHILDREN WHO COLLECT STAMPS ARESUBJECTED TO TAXATION !!!!!!
You have seen / known how top industrialists cheat on various fronts - bank loans, various taxes, commodity pricing / employee wages etc.; similarly, the politicians who invest crores in elections and get back many times; similarly the employees specially mid-group earning not less than 50-100 crores as was caught in recent raids; you have seen similarly in other walks of life; ultimately realising that there is corruption in all walks including with your wife / wives. What type of rates will change any of these, rather increase the rate of degradation!

Everyone cheats but proportionate to his earnings. Now that scope is gone. If u earn in white, you would pay in black(cash) and if u earn in black then also u pay in cash. The seller collects the tax from you, but does not file his returns. Did you ever obtain a bill for your purchases? You simply paid on demand.
it will take away any little pleasure people have - they brought this pheku to get rid from congress - but now we realise our mistake. Station per chai becho or masti karo

Did you know that you were already paying that tax but not charged seperately. The difference is that now you will be billed. Earlier there was no bill. Ignorance is BLISS.
A move in the right direction. Those who are already paying taxes have nothing to worry about. Life will not change a great deal. The black money hoarders are crying foul. The govt needs money to implement social welfare schemes and infra projects. Let us all support this move to build a strong India.

Ultimately, the sufferer is common man or middle class people!, as the structure seems to focus on mass community to scissor the pockets of citizens.

Let's wait for a few months to see how it translates on ground. I' am optimistic that the govt will make corrections where necessary.
