Who has credibility?
by R ponnabalam on Jan 21, 2017 09:32 PM

After 70years of legislating welfare laws and adjudicating measures to deliver social justice we have no better standard of living for the common;the Govt. office functions with heavy corruption.Banks don't tell name of defaulting loanees giving the impression that there is no loanee at all. RBI had been printing notes enough to supply currency notes uninterrupted to Illeagal activities sector. We can say the entire Governing system has lost credibility and those who governed us also

Loast Credibility?
by IndieBoy Goswami on Jan 21, 2017 07:25 PM

RBI staff colluded with black money hoarders. When did they get recruited and trained in this? Whose tenure?
Fake notes have been coming from RBI for long time. Recently saw two notes with same serial number. both are original. with raghuram rajan sign. Was RBI professional then?
RRR propsoed 5000 notes recently which Modi declined and instead authorized 2000 note. Why RRR did so? Wasnt he aware that this will increase corruption and inflation?
I see this BB from BS as another left liberal rant.

RBI

Could not find any inefficiency in working of RBI, de-monetization was a big task, almost successfully completed, it was required, it has removed at least at present fake currency as well as hoarded black money. Only mistake is done that one decimal was needed to be removed from the currency so as to lesser handling of notes.

Complete autonomy for RBI is must to avoid ghastly mistake of demonetisation. If it is true that demonetisation was forced ob RBI them both Finance Minister and Governor RBI must resign.

past 70years admistration has lost credibility
by R ponnabalam on Jan 19, 2017 01:39 PM  | Hide replies

The RBI has remained wrong supplying currency to facilitate informal sector to generate 47 % GDP.The informal sector is illegal sector,Is the RBI obliged to serve this illegal sector that makes an economy to become one where India's richest 1 per cent now hold a huge 58 per cent of the country's total wealth --and just 57 billionaires in India now have same wealth ($216 billion) as that of the bottom 70 per cent population of the country. This is the VALUE ADDITION of INDIA,the contribution of GDP growth. Are the names of loanees not released because there is no loanee at all. Who in RBI accepted the words"Non performing asset" The bank asset is the currency ;no currency ever failed to get it's equal worth as per the pledge of RBI. Is the RBI fooling all of us.Who among governor of the RBI and the United Forum of Reserve Bank Officers and Employees, economists, financial experts and civil society organizations had taken it incumbent upon themselves to join hands and mount relentless pressure on the loanees to get the unreturned bank loans. How many industries have shown profit and surplus income to invest. The market economy pockets nation's wealth R.PONNAMBALAM

Whose servant are you Mr Raghavan.
Just because the govt and RBI were on the same page with respect to demonetization, does it mean fingering RBI ?
What autonomy or independence are you talking about ?
The courts wants independence and you suggest RBI needs independence then what is the Govt supposed to do ?
There is rot in these independent organizations. Who is responsible for it. You would say the Govt, but you don't want the govt to do its job.

May be you were distinguished, but after this article you extinguished your so called illustrious carreer. Biased and politicized views. Pass or Fail the PM has made a genuine effort to root our corruption and blackmoney instead of supporting him you are trying to pick holes. Useless fellows. You have a better plan then spell it out. We have a PM who is begging for ideas and things to implement, he will definitely listen to you.

Forget RBI and its history, no PM of India has ever been hounded or scrutinized as PM MODI. Shame on these so called intellectuals.

And it is a pity that we still follow a ACT laid out in 1935. Come on be comfortable with change.
