Change in a Country like India should be implemented on an incremental basis. With such huge population and large masses in place, overnight decisions will have a huge impact on the long run. You know how our Chaiwala is...He is full of chest thumping and pride...He wants to show to the Public he is something, this is the reason he wants to do big things without any planning....

Now farmers, laborers, Construction workers, Pensioners, day to day wage earners must invest 7-10K in a Smartphone, learn Internet and Mobile apps to become tech savvy and do digital transactions...Is that possible overnight ? What an idea Sirji ?....

Delhi does not represent the national mood.
Hence, this article should be discounted to that extent.

correct, I have drawn money from different ATM of Bangalore from past few days in just 10 mins. In karnataka queue is thin, only in Delhi where common people are made to stand in queue to deposit not their money but somebody else's money, cannot understand why jan dhan account debit card cannot be used, why was cash kept at home and not deposited in bank, this is fundamental question to be asked to all those standing for cash exchange
