The man who proposed the ban on Rs 500, 1,000 notes
by subir sengupta on Nov 14, 2016 11:11 AM

Definitely, the proposal and intention of Arth Kranti Sansthan has worked in some ways for Mr. Modi to take this drastic yet fantastic decision to curb black money economy. The moot point is that Manmohan Singh did not react or comment anything after seeing their presentation unlike Modiji. What does that mean. It means a lot and I leave it to the people to ponder on this.

LOGICAL ANSWER TO " WHY RS 2000 CURRENCY NOTE WERE ISSUED?
by Bharat on Nov 14, 2016 09:24 AM

The question is raised by some opposition leaders and anti-Modi personalities that if big notes are demonitized than why Rs 2000 currency note was issued. FM Jetly has replied it but he did not clarify it in trying to keep his answer short. Here is convincing clarification. ONLY 2000 NOTE could be printed in some days advance to meet huge demand of new notes in exchange without creating any doubt that 500 and 1000 notes are demonetized and therefore, their printing could be started earlier. It was taken as entry of new denomination in set of currency notes and as such did not raise any doubt that something proposed to be done with high value currency notes. If printing of Rs 500 and 1000 notes in huge / enormous quantity would have undertaken IN ADVANCE, indeed message of being something done with THEN EXISTING 500 and 1000 notes would have spread and targeted sections would have been alert / saved - stabilized black money.

Jeweler"s inventory
by Dipankar Mukherji on Nov 14, 2016 09:09 AM

No body knows Jeweler's inventory. They are selling Gold and Silver at premium of 100% I think. They are going to show lots of transaction before 8th Nov.
The correct step would have been
1) Take Inventory of all Jewelers and Diamond merchnats
2) Take Inventory of all rel estate not sold by builders
3) VDS and demonetization should go hand and hand. This is bcoz trillions of cash with Govt officers / staff would have come into circulation.
4) Those who have have really earned it the tax should have been 45%. For those who get easy money (not hard earned) it should be 65%.

tax reforms
by krishnamurthy on Nov 14, 2016 07:57 AM

tax reforms
government to derive revenue from the following three sources only, in place of all the existing taxes:
1)tax only natural resources-land,minerals,water,environment,spectrum;tax at major points only;
2)release extra currency (paper and electronic) without creating inflation;
3)profits from public sector undertakings

govt to spend in the following manner
1)core government functions like defence,foreign relations,police,judiciary and reserve bank;
2)citizenship allowance to all citizens,
3)infrastructure
4)administrative expenses;
govt should reduce flab

every citizen should be paid a dividend because he is a shareholder in the country's natural resources and tax revenue is derived from taxing them;due to mechanisation and automation,everybody cannot and need not be employed;to begin with,an allowance of 1000 rs/m/per person possible taking centre and state budgets put together;citizenship allowance's real value is more to the poor than to the rich;equity taken care there;
