Rediff should share the positive aspects of the news too. The challenges are just temporary plus every big step cause some sort of inconvenience to people. Such steps will take country to next level of growth and prosperity.

Rediff made fun of Modi, when he announced cleaning India thru Swatchch Bharat... Is not India cleaner now than in the last 70 years? Now Rediff is making fun od not only Modi, but also every Indian thru these nonsensial articles..

REdiff is unnecessarily creating panic and show the government in poor light. Very sad. These inconveniences are bound to be there when the you think of the benefit for the economy. Think of the country not self alone.
THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD DECISION I WOULD SAY TO DISCONTINUE SUDDENLY THE NOTES AND BRING RESTRICTIONS ON TRANSACTIONS. THE COMMON MAN SAVES MONEY OF HIS OWN WORK IN HOUSE AT SOME TIMES TO TAKE CARE OF EMERGENCIES OR IN CASE OF FESTIVALS. SO THAT IS NOT BLACK MONEY. ALSO IN PRIVATE SECTOR AT ALMOST MAJOR LOCATIONS BONUS IS DISTRIBUTED IN CASH FORM. SO MANY WORKER GET BIGGER NOTES. THE ATMs WERE DISPENSING 1000/500 NOTES IN THIS FESTIVAL AND BEFORE THAT I SAY FROM LAST 2-3 MONTHS. IF GOVT WAS THINKING OF CONTROLLING THE BLACK MONEY THEY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED DEPOSITING THESE NOTES IN ATMs, SO THAT COMMON MAN MAY NOT OPENED TO FACE THIS PROBLEM. IF THERE IS ANYBODY TO HEAR THIS AND RESPOND FROM GOVT?

For answering your question none from the Govt is required, Last month itself govt issued guidelines to banks to issue and fill ATMs with larger nos of 100 rs notes. But the some Bank walas did'nt heed this and continued to fills higher denomination notes in ATMs etc. For that they are facing the music now. They have to work overtime for this carelessness. They are going to work on this Saturday and Sunday.
Mr Sriniwas we can't expect to enjoy the smile of a child unless we bear the labor pains.Be calm everything will be OK within 2-3 days.

STILL we can save money in home in form of cash at home, just we have to exchange our notes. Saving upto 50k is justified but if any one saving saving 5L in home in form of cash is not justify
people who have black money should be worried not the honest people like you as mentioned in the article. since independence i.e.even in 69 years everybody doesn't have bank account. 26 crore bank accounts were open in last 2 years. these poorest people were never tried to connect with the economy of the country. these people didnt even know about the ATM card. just imagine that our parents don't have bank accounts and ATM card. how will they survive? how will they invest their money for better future. we didn't feel inconvenience for the last 69 yrs of corruption, poor roads, electricity cuts, illiteracy, traffic jams, excessive population density, congestion in trains and metros, poor train speed, corruption in all public departments, poor quality of buses, delays in all sought of constructions, black money in land deals, huge property rates due to black money, congested government hospitals, open defecation, dirty roads with excessive encroachment, poor quality of education , women suppression, etc. but today a step is taken for the betterment of the country people r feeling inconvenience. i think our country was already full of inconveniences. there is not much scope left for further. though most of the people woke up now to see that our country has inconveniences.

Can anybody guarantee that this will make the country better? Swatch Bharat has been implemented some time back. Has stopped open defecation? Is India really cleaner that before?

Somewhere somebody has to start. Good effort is still a good effort even if the outcomes are not up to the mark. In India, when a person attempts to do any good, there will be 10 others who would make every attempt to spoil the good work. Hence under these circumstances at least an attempt is being made which was never made before. If nothing had been done on black money you would have blamed the government for not doing anything on black money.

Freedom from what? It is the same as before. Only now the white skin has been replaced by brown skin. There is still rampant exploitation in the country even after 69 years.
People like you used Poor world since independence and looted this country. Now when you back is filled with chillies then also you are doing same. Just wait for 4-5 days and then you will forget writing such articles.

But the picture shown throughout India is true. The idea to ban these HD notes is very good, but the implementation is awful.There were other methods of doing this even without giving notice to the public.
