Compared to the performance of Piyush Goel,Nitin Gadkari and Suresh Prabhu,his performance is a real disappointment.He could not even get the GST passed because he was unwilling to discuss with the opposition.Stock Markets have crashed and people have lost lot of money.The low oil price gave lots of cushion to the govt.Still he was unable to utilise it properly.He has failed on all fronts.There is not even a shadow of a doubt.

cosidering the situation inherited after lakhs of crores of scams with economy in sick condition, i think Arun Jaitly has done wonders . he is communicative, acceptable to all parties, has charm, intelligent, genius lawyer, grasper and very methodical. every major decision and policy initiative by NDA devolves around finances and hence Finance Minister is crucial link.see the attempts on simplification of taxation structure, auction of waves and coal block transparency, OROP for central govt employees, FIIs troopng into India, attempts at GST acceptance, foreign industrial houses' interest in investing here,rating upgrade, economic packages to states , no whimpers of corruption etc etc. let's be fair and give some credit , sir.
Re. touching almost 68 per dollar and sensex showing tremendous down slide is an indication of the miserable performance of Finance ministry, for which only Jaitley is to be blamed. It is high time that able finance minister should be called in immidiateltly.

The economics of the country is very poorly managed. More than the FM, the PM is responsible to turn around the economy. The way oil is taxed in India looks as if India is a communist country. In no democratic country in the world there is so much taxation on fuel. It is plain bad economics. If you want fund for infrastructure, encourage the private sector to build it on build, operate and transfer basis like it is done in western countries. Where is the tax going? We have no social security like free health care etc

If he couldn't handle DDCA we know his result. Multiple DDCA investigation reports prove corruption inside DDCA and jaitely was DDCA president from 1999-2013. So he is foolish to have gone to court as he stands exposed. Modi should side track this guy as he is a poor FM or he should step down like a gentleman and then prove himself. Sir, more than 5000 farmers were compelled to end their life in a span of around 20 months of Modi rule. A common man is deprived of a simple dal chawal as toor dal prices have skyrocketed in last 8 months. This is the worst ever govt in independent India

You have not considered other things.... Salary, Electricity, Transportation etc costs... Further benefit of decreasing price of Petrol will not be passed on by others to the general public... This we have witnessed. Instead government should spend for infrastructure and benefits of the public.
