I dont understand any of this analysis which is more confusing than bringing clarity. So to write a blog itself brings in so much confusion on the thought process imagine the implementation in reality
For me simple thing I have travelled in last 40 days across Delhi/Lucknow/Allahbad/Cochin/Mysore/Bangalore/Mumbai I dint find any major issue in getting Cash from the ATM whether its 2000 or 500 except the fact the crowds in ATM or the Limited that it wasnt like what it was before November 8th. Nevertheless it was not as if a catastrophe has struck us. Wherever I go I look out the local bazaar and interaction with Auto drivers - The feeler is live is as usual . So its not just me but across different strata the case is same!
So instead of scaring the people better use the energy for some positivity Mr.Wilson.

Indians were not asking for proof of surgical strike. Only ISIS sympathisers in India were asking for it.

Your author wilson is clueless about the effect of such a large cash based economy India had, more than those of each of our neighbours, and more than any developed country. Faulty logic. Assumptions are too naive and do not show any intelligence in his thinking.

Hardships for whom ? Perhaps those who used cash and cash only - and never paid taxes, thereby taking away the share of the poor. People are shifting to less cash means, and that is very very good for the nation. But for sure, too bad for the corrupt and tax dodgers. In every other country, including our neighbours, the cash in economy is much less. India should move to that regime.l It is quite silly and criminal to drive in a Fortuner, or a 4 crore value car like Raool used to withdraw 4000, and not pay taxes.

Thats the trouble they are facing, they dont want the transaction on record and pay taxes. they want to enjoy by creating parallel economy with cash transactions. One question I face Its almost 45 days now, why could we not see the 2000 Rs note comming back to Banks for circulation.
These Businesspersons, who want to cornor govt are dumping the cash they receive. which is evedant from the seizer of old notes dumped with so many people.

Lies, Lies and more Lies
by Musalmaan Masala on Dec 28, 2016 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

James Wilson has hit the nail on the head with his well thought out analysis of how ofthis farce of a government has taken us Indian citizens for a ride.
We are being fed lies day in and day out. The prime minister is an old hand at this and one can make out if one has a discerning mind that his fekaoing has now reached the limit and crossed over into fantasyland.
The RBI has sold its independence and soul to the Government with Urjit Patel a ready stooge in the hands of the Finance Ministry.
I cannot see any thing fantastic happening even from Jan 1st 2017 when we will be told that more good things will come our way and just to wait and watch FOR A FEW MONTHS MORE which could easily turn to a year.
