Unfair to term it U-Turn
by Shiva prasad on Dec 21, 2016 12:24 PM  | Hide replies

It will be quite unfair to say it a U-turn due to following reasons :
1.      Given the depth in which the system is rotten over the years.
2.      Ground reality to be analysed from time to time and decisions to be taken.
3.      Activity cannot be planned and announced in advance otherwise purpose will not serve.
4.      Taking certain decisions by surprise is the only way.
5.      Common man may face hardship but he need to face it. One must blame our earlier rulers for this not present Government.
6.      Though government takes the decision, it depends on many agencies like State Governments, Banks , Government departments etc. Our earlier rulers have created lot of loopholes in the system.
Whatever the hardships we may face, there is no other better way to curb black money, corruption and fake note racket.
All credit to the bold decision.

Mr Shiva Prasad your child scored lesser marks says: the questions are tough, the exam room was dark, out of syllabus, not valued properly, teacher favoured to his community boys, I was sick on that date of exam, my pen was out of ink and similar like.
A Good leader never gives excuses for his failures and never satisfied of his success too.
Reg Demonitation: we have experienced hardship but the yield is yet to be known and will be known, only after 31st March 2017. Whatever it be, the Govt is going to claim as if it is a great success. Whichever the govt be, they never say as if a failure - History only speaks.

FAILURE ON PART OF RBI AND GOVT REGARDING DEMONETISATION
by drchotaivijaykumar on Dec 21, 2016 12:20 PM

IT IS VERY MUCH TRUE THAT DEMONETISATION HAS HAMPERED ALL SMALL BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE ARE FACING TERRIFIC TROUBLE TO GET THEIR OWN TAX PAID MONEY FROM THE BANK`S. NDA GOVT AND FINANCE MINISTRY HAD LAUNCHED GOLD MONETISATION, VOLUNTARY DECLARTION WHICH WE HAD SEEN WERE A FAILURE WHICH PROBABLY EVERYONE WILL AGREE. SO AFTER THAT GOI WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF TAX REFORMS FIRST AND DEMONETISATION LATER. UNLESS AND UNTIL GOVT WILL NOT REDUCE TAX RATES AND WILL THINK OF COMPENSATING PENSION IN PROPORTION TO THE TAX PAID BY AN INDIVIDUAL DURING HIS RETIREMENT LIFE AND ASSURE FOR SOCIAL SECURITY , NOBODY WILL PAY SUCH HIGH TAX RATES. GOVT WAS EXPECTING THAT ALMOST 4-5 LAC CRORES WORTH NOTES OF 500 /1000 WILL NOT BE DEPOSITED , BUT AS PER FIGURES DECLARED BY RBI DEP. GOVERNOR DEPOSITION IS NEARING 14 LAC CRORES ON 19-12-2016. GOVT SHOULD ACCEPT FAILURE OF THIS SCHEME AND TRY TO MAKE EFFECTIVE TAX REFORMS. BLACK MONEY WILL NOT BE DISCOVERED ,SO GOVT HAS DIVERTED PUBLIC TO CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS FOR WHICH INFRASTRUCTURE SHOULD BE AT PAR WITH DEVELOPED COUNTRIES AND TRANSACTIONS CHARGES SHOULD BE FIXED PER TRANSACTION AND NOT PERCENTAGE.

the government is right
by SRINIVASAN RAMAN on Dec 21, 2016 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

The Government is doing right. Only the people with Black money is crying in all directions.those who are depositing the demonetized notes are either black money holders or agents. very very few innocents could be the late comers. It not a football game to set the rules straight. It needs gsome game changer in between.

You Turns
by K Bhaskaran on Dec 21, 2016 11:53 AM

PM, FM and RBI make us turn, turn and u-turn. Where and when will all these turns end and where to PM, FM and RBI. All of us - the commoners are blundering lots. When will the PM learn to rule and no to boast? Less said about the FM the better - he deserves no comment.

U turns?
by Lakshmoji on Dec 21, 2016 11:51 AM

Why do we read them as U-turns? Why can't we consider them as flexibility? This much flexibility is required for such a massive clean-up operation.

Most importantly these amendments are required as the thieves find different routes to flout the norms.

Pessimists have always louder voice.

There are so many corrupt officials who have been groomed well for the last few decades, one is forced to make U turns and even circles too.
