There is no necessity for misusing the power to make an a/c as NPA. Right from Branch, Regional, Zonal, HO, Committee of GMs, ED/MD and then Board approval is being made- depends on the quantom of sanction.
A borrowing company a/c become NPA - not, only one reason - Poor appraisal, Govt policy changes, delay in getting licences, marketing the manufacturing product, in adequate power supply, labour unrest, mismanagement of funds, diversion of funds, poor monitoring by lending banks, inadequate lendings, exchange rate variations, delay in legal proceedings, natural calamities and still more. Natural death of a company etc. For Ex. Nestle Products were banned, happened to be a very big company they are able to manage otherwise?
